Galway minors 2009:

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I think Kevin hussey is on the panel from Claregalway.Im not sure but i think there is another lad from claregalway on it,big, strong and tall but i dont remember seeing him play for Claregalway in the u16 final a few years back.

Gerry fahy seems to be using plenty of players in the league so far id say this years team will be stronger than last years...

Anyone know the team for the game against Roscommon this week-end?
I heard the game is in Ballinasloe.. Is it true that the panel will be cut again, 4/5 just to be cut I heard?

Honestly, Éanna Keane, John Breathnach and Colm McDonagh from Naomh Anna Leitir Móir are well up to the standard to be on the Galway minor panel this year, and Simon McCormack and Kevin Kelly from CLG An Cheathrú Rua are also. But, due to the politics of Galway football, they wont be.

Was the game today or is it tomorrow ? Mike and Ronan are tall enough I'd say 6"3/6"4.
Surprised M. Elwood hasn't been given a chance in games, I heard he was very good against Moycullen in the minor championship..

if anybody was at the Leitir Móir-Carraroe minor game last wednesday, you would have seen probably 6 or 7 players that should be on the galway minor panel, it was a great game. Colm McDonagh was in midfield for Leitir Móir, he is 16, and stands at 5'8", but he was beating, and always beats players who are over 6 feet tall in the air, he can run the whole game, and you will never see anyone give as much as this young lad does, heart and soul in to every game. he deserves to be on the Galway minor panel this year, and next year.

this is rubbish about the politics about the cararoe and leitir mor boys.. these lads are most defiantly not up to standard at all. playing b football maybe they look good but they dont know what its like to play real pure fast paced football

asal_an_daingean What do you mean "politics of galway football" trails were held fairly for 2 months and these players you are talking about didnt bother to go or just weren't good enough.

politic?...would yah go away outa that!. trials were held fair and none of these lads are near the standard.well if they have 3 or 4 lads why did carroroe school get hammered off the pitch against athenry school?.and why are both clubs in "B" if they have 5 or 6 couny standard minors?explain?.

and why is there so many litirmor/carroroe comments being posted latly?..is broaand only after arriving out there recenly?...lads cop on there no politics in county mnor. trails were ae fair as possible.

yeah well maybe that lad will. i never heard of him before but maybe he will and maybe he wont. if everyone wrote about who they think will be on the panel next year and who should be, we'd have thousand of different comments from all different clubs, i feel i speak on behalf of every1 not from carroroe or litirmor, stop posting yer boring comment on how ye should have 5 or 6 on the team this and next year!!. Rubbish!!!!!!...concentrate on the current team thats there and there is no politics in it!

well galway4life, i know as a fact that colm mcdonagh started for u16 ted webbe last year? corner back.

i will admit that i may have gone overboard with my comments, and i apologise for that, but i will not back down from my beliefs!

i will also say that even though leitir moir and carraroe play in the b league, they are good enough to compete in a.
