chuglad it is a stupid comment because that can be said about anybody! yup, what are you talking about? mels have been very poor the last couple of years so that is little to be writing home about and as i asked already where was keegan for last years county minor PANEL? now i would love to be proved wrong because longford has not had a top class midfielder since david hanniffy, but keegan hasent even stood out for me at club minor level!

Mel's had a quality team last year just didn happen for them! They were weak up front! Keegan walked onto dat team at ease. Why is he being picked as captain for both teams then if he is so poor?! The lad is a wonderful athlete and is maturing to a superb footballer. I think stuff written on this should be positive. Very easy for lads to critise when they dont say who they are. Keegan is an outstanding footballer with a huge workrate. If he plays to his full potential on sat week he will be unstopable. Im fully confident Longford will win. Yes Keegan was excellent againts Killoe in minor final....poor against drumlish but everyone gets them games. He's definately a player to watch in the future. Himself and his clubman Beirnie Crawford are footballers for the future.Stop bein so negative to them all.....I'll be at the first round and everyone should come out also. We should show our support to our minors. They deserve that

i will be supporting them, no doubt about it i just think they arent up to much. think we will have to agree to disagree about keegan. i just cant see it, i honestly hope im proved wrong though! you still havent answered where he was for last years team seeing that he was on a "quality mels team" he surely shouldve been county minor standard???

Oh sorry did not mean to ignore that! Well I asked him once when I bumped into him why he was not in with the county minors and he said he didnt have the time that he didnt really want to play! But I know for a fact that he was contacted several times by Lynn to come in so he clearly was of that standard. You never answered why he keeps being chosen for captain?! Im glad you are behind them

Keegan a gud decent footballer seen him in action a few times!
big man n da minors wil b lookin 4 alot from him in the middle of the park!
but there's more than just him there,this team may not have exceptional individuals but there are a few handy footballers in there!

Exactly "samantamumba"!! He he a top quality footballer and will play a huge role for minors. As I said it was not by accident he was chosen as captain for both! Yes they are a good team. They dont have the huge individuals of last years team but are very evenly balanced throughout. They will be hard bearen I think. I think it is a disgrace that people try to slag off their own county footballers. If any of the minors are on this....I'm fully behind you all. I will be there sat week, best of luck boys!

i dont think captaincy is that relevant, ya go for the toss and yell a few swear words in the huddle before the match and thats it well for underage anyway. look i hope im proved wrong i dont mean to be over critical but over hyping a player can be much worse for the player than criticism.

Yes poor performance on friday night but they have to look at it as a win!! They are moving on to Laois with two back to back wins.
Longford Minors were beaten in Leinster Semi Final last year....robbed really. Ciaran Fox is over the team. The man has lots of experience and seems to have a good atmosphere in the camp.
