fair enuf so lads,i still tink Thomas Kelly would have been sum addition to that minor team,he would have been more effective than some of the forwards that were der!

thomas kelly would have been far better than patrick mullooly anyway!!
anyway for this year, i think kelly should be captain!!he and darren quinn will be the star players. conor clarke should cement a startin 15 place, he's a good half back/half forward

thomas kelly should not get captain he was good enough 4 d county minor team last year but im sure it was his own choice not to go to trials r trainings!!! the only people that should b considerd 4 captain d people who gave up their time 2 put in the effort with the team last year- conor keegam Ballymahon/forgney Conor quaine CarrickSarsfields and john Kavanagh Granard/Ballymore are the only 3 players from last years panel underage this year!!

yeah i know and thomas kelly aside i think the team really should b picked on the basis of commitmment and potrntial shown at trainings not because of who they are or who they play for has happened before and the player that mightn have seemed better gets neglected when actually they turn out to do just as good!!

ive nothing against them and yes i will b d 1st 2 admit they are very good footballers but in previous posts the only reason i was saying netin against them was because they were being haled as god compared 2 other players their age who played a higher standard of football!! sorry 2 have offended you

Conor Quaine is the only man for the captaincy in my opinion, lovely guy off the field but a genuine hard man on the pitch, wud demand the respect of his fellow peers. He cud open a tin of peas with that left foot of his!

Rafa your obviously just a player looking for a bit of recognition and you just want to see your name mentioned as a county minor. playing for the longford minors is no accomplishment anyway as they will be no better than a decent club team in any other county next year.

Is the younger "Nixer" Hughes brother still playing football? He was a great footballer when he was younger... I often compared him to a young Paul Barden. Havnt seen much of him recently though.. It would be a shame to lose such a talented footballer.

Young "Nixer" Hughes to be captain! What a fantastic leader!
What about John Keegan from Nothern Gaels?.. Will he play?. Playing great football with Mel's at the moment?..
