Dj u avn a laugh.. yes yous beat us(ardglass) yday bt we didnt preform wotsoever... 2 suggest drumaness were the best team u played dis year is quite arrogant if u ask me... ur manager, who i persume is well repected in the game came in2 r changing room nd told us the opposite of wot ur sayn, we were without doubt the best team yous played all year, ur eyes must b painted on mate.. If yous wana go up as champions ul beat carryduff next week.. we'll beat bredagh so ur prediction of carryduff goin up with yous will be wrng aswell... dont see carryduff competing with yous nd i wouldnt expect yous 2 lie down either!!!

so wats the story now? from what im reading glassdrumman are promoted aswell as carryduff, and whoever wins the next match between them are crowned as champions. that rite?

Dj27legend was stating the FACT that the only team that really put it up to Glassdrumman for 2 games was Drumaness. Both games were very close and in my opinion Drumaness deserved to win at least 1 of the games. soccer does hamper drumaness but not as much as bad attitude and inconsistency. still fancy Ardglass to get promoted. Glassdrumman deserve to win league. Drumaness beat carryduff comprehensively twice this year, so cant see past Glassdrumman beating Carryduff.

Div 3
Glassdrumman 4pts
Carryduff 3pts
Adglass 3pts
Bredagh 0pts

Final round of games this weekend
Glassdrumman v Carryduff
Bredagh v Ardglass

Would expect Ardglass to defeat Bredagh as they are out of the promotion chase leaving Carryduff needing something to achieve promotion. A Glassdrumman victory would see them promoted as Champions and a further playoff between Ardglass and Carryduff to see who'll join them in Div 2.

Div 2
Kilcief beat Tullylish. Next weekend; Downpatrick v Tullylish. A Downpatrick victory will see Tullylish relegated alongside automatically relegated Dundrum.

Yeah it looks done and dusted that bredagh are going nowhere and g'drummand are up. So it'll more than likely go to a play-off between Ardglass and Carryduff. Also its more than probable that D'Patrick will have too much in the locker for Tullylish leaving them and Dundrum in Div 3 next year.

Div 3 looks like a potential minefield for any team in it next year, you wouldn't pick either of the 2 teams likely to go down as favourites to go straight back up. It possibly could be the tighest of the Divisions next year.

Does anyone know will it be starting a few weeks earlier than the other divisions like it did this year??

dj27 well done on getting promoted but maybe you should be concentrating on how your own team does in division 2 next year and not how st johns are going to do in div 3

I wouldn't imagine Div 3 starting earlier as this only occured because of the "extra" team in it this year which has been corrected for next season.

i must say the way promotion and relegation works in your county is a joke!!!

what's wrong with the top 2 getting promoted and bottom 2 being relegated?

It's pretty ridiculous to stll be playing league football in November, and possibly into December with Div 1 playoffs not due to commence until the weekend 15th/16th. Also a distraction for teams playing in the Ulster Club Championship such as Annaclone at the moment.

I don't know lads, it's still the only county in ulster, ireland even to be guaranteed at least 20 games a season. Your playing days will be over before you know it and you'll be mad looking a game. I say enjoy every game you get. Sure soccer seasons are nearly all year round too. Just enjoy it!

I also think that the playoff's are unfair. How can it be right for a team to finish top of the league and not win it?!! How can it be right that you finish bottom of the league and stay up?!! Surely there has to be another way! I know guys that are sick of football at this present time, as they have been training since early January and it is now November and they are still playing. It is not out if the question that some clubs will be involved in the play-off's come December, with 6 weeks or so off and will be back for pre-season!! In this age of player burn out the Down county board have some serious thinking to do!
