Good question! I am not too sure but as Mitchels are already down I would imagine there will be a play off between the next 4 with 2 going down. Perhaps someone else can clarify this. Just to add, I see the county board have decided to play all outstanding fixtures before the last round of league games. Good in some respects as it will clear alot of promotion/relegation issues but on the other hand it means play offs could still be on at the end of November. Long season for some clubs.

Good luck to Aghaderg on Sunday, they seemed to have turned the corner since Donaghy took over, semi-finalists and promoted with 2 county men, that prospect looked grim half way through the season but fair play to them, we'll probably miss ya's on the way down lads, see ya's in a year!

If Banbridge win at home to Shamrocks and Warrenpoint away at Ballymartin this will confirm their places in the play-offs this weekend? At the other end of the table could Downpatrick be involved in relegation play-offs? This would be quite a fall from grace?

Indeed you are right at this moment Downpatrick are in the bottom 4. I think 1 point ahead of Tullylish with their last game away to Tullylish. It has been somewhat of a fall from last years intermediate champions. Although I think that both Downpatrick and Tullylish may just stay up, even if it goes to a play-off. From all accounts Kilclief seem to have thrown the towel in as I have heard they are not even training anymore after their defeat to Tullylish last week, and with upcoming games against the Banbridge, Warrenpoint and Bryansford it doesn't look good.

On those grounds I think it would be fair to assume that; Kilcief will not attain the required points to force a play-off and suffer automatic relegation alongside Dundrum. I think it is also a fair assumption that Bryansford will be too strong for the other teams in the play-offs and achieve promotion. Who do you think will be in the play-offs with them? I'd imagine Annaclone and dependant upon results at weekend you still can't rule out Shamrocks and Ballymartin but the Bann and the Point have it in their own hands and must be favourites. Who do you think will go up with Bryansford?

At the beggining of the season I predicted that Bryansford and Ballymartin would go up. Bryansford are still a cert although you could thow a small towel on the chasing pack for the play-off's. Banbridge have had an exceptional year, but I don't think will do it. Annaclone I think would be more than happy with the championship win at the cost of promotion. Shamrocks seem to have had an odd year but are still there or there abouts. Ballymartin much the same. In saying that I have a sneaky suspicion about Warrenpoint. They were in dissaray at the beginning of the season, with new management and players having left but they have got themselves together and have a good young squad with a good team spirit. They could well do it!!

Leagues are coming to completion, finally!! A long season!! Div 4, St Johns as deserving Champions and Aghaderg with a strong finish to the season join them in promotion to Div 3 next year. Both sides may surprise a few teams next year. Div 3 playoffs begin this weekend, who will go up and who will go down? After finishing top of the league Glassdrumman appear to be the strongest team in the Division but I've got a sneaking suspicion the 2 Belfast teams; Bredagh and Carryduff might pip them for promotion. Again highlighting a flaw in the play-off system. At the other end of the table Mitchels have been automatically demoted and with 2 teams from Teconnaught, Bosco and St Michaels to join them I think St Michaels could be the team to maintain their Div 3 status. If Banbridge defeat Shamrocks this weekend they will join Bryansford, Warrenpoint and Annaclone in promotion playoffs. Bryansford a certainty to go up, joined by Annaclone, however if Annaclone get distracted with their Ulster IFC campaign this could present an opportunity for the Bann or the Point to sneak up. Kilcief require another point to force a play-off, this may be achieved against Warrenpoint this weekend who are assured of their playoff spot or perhaps against Banbridge in their final game next week (a win against Shamrocks this weekend leaves next week's match meaningless for Ban). With Dundrum automatically relegated a playoff might ensue between Tullylish, Kilcief and Downpatrick, with any of these teams capable of falling out the back door to Div 3. Tullylish have finished the season strongly and Kilcief buoyed by the defeat of Bryansford last week and possibly a positive result against the Point or Bann could see Downpatrick as the fall guy? Div 1, still lots to be decided. One win from their final 3 matches for Mayobridge would force automatic relegation for An Riocht joining Ballyholland in Div 2 next year thus rendering the need for any relegation playoffs. At the top end how will the Bridge respond to Championship exit? How much does the league in Nov/Dec really mean to them? Could allow Kilcoo or Rostrevor to claim the Div 1 title? The Bridge to win. These are only my semi-educated opinions and could possibly/highly likely to be incorrect. Any more educated thoughts and opinions?

is it true that only one team is being promote out of div 4 due to a breach in the rules by St.johns. that would mean only two team geting relegated down from Div 3

somthing to do with them not fielding twice this season. so they are out of league + they might not be allowed to play in the junior club either

Don't imagine there's much truth in that. Yes they childishly didn't field against us but like remaining matches in all divisions that have been rendered meaningless and subsequently just not played i don't think any of these teams are being punished for not fielding.

as far as i am aware the three teams in the playoffs to go into the fourth are appealing now that this has occured.

only fair the teams appeal.. the rules states you get thrown out of the league for not fielding twice!! it doesnt matter if games dont mater they should still be fulfilled!! they wont be doing that in division 3 next year because they be trying to get all the points they can!
