I have said it before and I will say it agin this two pointed score will cause tremendous aggression in the Gaa game , I just pity the poor Referee that has to make a call on borderline cases where he is surrounded by players from both sides , he may not a have a neutral , linesman, and the umpires that the Clubs appoint are generally men who see things in a particular direction and I mean the direction the Ball is coming in from not where it was kicked from. I could name a few Clubs in some Counties that a wrong call could arouse a lot of passion after the final whistle The great Mrs T is with me all the way in this call she added it should be mandatory that all Clubs have V A R . What do you think ??

When this was mentioned on another thread, some posters pointed out that the rule works well in club football. Now I only attended one club game but the referee had 4 umpires and they implemented this rule pretty well. I didn't see any incorrect calls anyway.
Perhaps the rule needs modification for scores inside the arc but at tight angles (I'm thinking of some of the points Stephen O'Neill scored for Tyrone in the past) but it seems to encourage attacking play. I think modification more than scrappage might be the answer?
