A pretty well known story. Strange how a man who likes to think of themselves as being all knowing wouldn't know about it....

Replying To oneoff:  "What mask? Shouldn't you be on the Dublin page telling everyone how you knew Dublin were going to lose at the weekend before it actually happened?"
Shouldnt you stay off the Dublin page and relocate yourself to the kerry page a bit more.

Focus on your own county and dont interfere in things that dont concern you....

You clearly lose sleep thinking about us.... awwwh.... shucks...

Replying To oneoff:  "I think Kerry only had 15 that day. Some were traveling by car and it broke down I think. I think Kerry had a journalist with was reporting on the game in goal."
As Canuck said above, there are all sorts of stories about it. With the one you mention - think it was actually the case that they only had the bare 15 players, and The Kerryman reporter there was asked to tog off as a sub in case he was needed, but he ended up not actually being needed.

Not so sure about the suggestion that some simply detoured to the beach at Tramore for the day, but another story is that some of the Kerry squad who were supposed to travel (and remember this would only have been 18 to 20 players at the time) refused to travel due to some row over the team captaincy or that year's club championship. Also that they didn't tell anybody they wouldn't be travelling, so first the Kerry side knew of it was when they simply didn't turn up on the day.

Mad that you're still sore about losing a game 70 years ago. Yis lost, Waterford won. There's till time to be gracious in defeat

2003 Laois beating Dublin in Leinster Semi Final for me. Laois had lost to Meath by 11 points in 2002. Dublin had strolled through Leinster and lost by a point to eventual champions Armagh ( with Ray Cosgrove's late free hitting the post ). Then in 2003, Laois had struggled past Offaly in a replay. Dublin meanwhile beat Louth by 13 points and I can recall Colm O Rourke saying that Dublin had moved onto another level. But in the semi final Micko worked his magic. Yes it was a very good Laois team, but on the day it was a seismic result.

Who's us?

You're the one who's clearly losing sleep over things seeing as you've gone out of your way to follow me into this thread are you not?

Funny coming from you to call someone else a WUM.

Funnier still the accounts you're talking about here are clearly just you talking to yourself.

Any comment for the others who have said the same story?
