Kieran Shannon in the Cork Examiner is calling for an FRC type committee to sort out the intercounty competitions - both hurling and football. Its badly need and wanted. The FRC was a group of retired intercounty managers, ex players and retired intercounty referees, led by the most process orientated man ever to get involved with the GAA.
If you did the same for fixing fixtures here would be my list.
1. Jarlath Burns to head it up (his next gig) 2. Ger Tully (Ex chair of higher education GAA) 3. John Prenty (man behind the Dome and Connacht Secretary) 4. Jimmy Darragh (Ulster Provincial Games Manager) 5. Joe Carton (Munster Hurling Provincial Games Manager) 6. Mick Seavers (Ex Dublin Chairman) 7. Enda Stenson (Ex Leitrim Chairman) 8. Liam Griffen (Ex CPA member) 9. Podge Collins (GPA welfare engagement officer) 10. Sean McGuigan (Ex Slaughtneil GAC Chairman) 11. Peter Fitzpatrick (Ex Louth GAA legend) 12. AN OTHER (from Allianz)
