Looks like Gaago will be replaced by a full time GAATV. The GAA will buy out the rte ownership of gaago. It probably hurt tg4 and clubber who show a lot of club and underage games. Looks like people will have no option but to buy GAATV if they want to watch games that tg4 used to show. Kew (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 19/12/2024 22:42:26 2584155Link 0
Not surprising. Free to air, 12months of year, GAA coverage on TG4 is unbelievable value in this day and age of ppv and subscription sports channels. Pope_Benedict (Galway) - Posts: 4457 - 20/12/2024 00:08:15 2584159Link 2
| Not sure what to make of this..I was hoping that tg4 and virgin media might have got rights for the games that were being shown..it's very obvious now that the Gaa are going to go for more pay per view and alienate more people again..looks to me that the Gaa don't think a whole lot of tg4 and only for them in last 10 years club games would have been non existent..is it possible that this Gaa tv will take league games away from tg4 aswell.. | Tyrone runs its own county TV; it's great - I've never watched so many club county championship matches! Counties should all do that, and not cede control to outsiders. points50swiththeargyllsonthewrongfeet (Tyrone) - Posts: 320 - 20/12/2024 00:54:00 2584161Link 0 |
They will have a very simple option… Don't buy it..! ForeverBlue2 (Cavan) - Posts: 4243 - 20/12/2024 07:10:47 2584163Link 0
We do likewise for Championship games here, although clubber is very handy for our county's underage and schools games. And whoever does the Freshers and Fitzgibbon games does them pretty well too on YouTube. Nothing beats being there though. Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 17344 - 20/12/2024 09:24:13 2584178Link 0
Galway GAA tv do likewise. If it not broadband reliant and a tv channel is launched on saorview could be a fantastic facility jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1719 - 20/12/2024 10:35:47 2584185Link 0
Cork GAA have their own streaming service for club games called Rebels Online, to a good service so I hope the GAA don't ruin it by taking it over if they were to take over all games everywhere. DuhallowRed (Cork) - Posts: 327 - 20/12/2024 11:16:55 2584186Link 0

It will be interesting to see what price rte demands to be bought out of their share of gaago. boxtyburgerbuns (Leitrim) - Posts: 519 - 20/12/2024 15:26:42 2584201Link 0 |

Does anybody know when this new app is going live. I am trying to renew a season pass on GAA Go and see there is no subscriptions you can buy and no games upcoming so presume it is to do with the new app LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 1571 - 24/03/2025 11:30:11 2598256Link 0
Your. GAAGO renewal is automatic if you don't untick that option, LeitrimRoyal. Don't think there will be a GAA TV app before 2025 championship finishes. GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 8319 - 24/03/2025 12:04:50 2598268Link 0
Ya it's a wonder they haven't sorted it out when the championship is around 10 days away. I'm guessing no early bird special this year Kew (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 26/03/2025 21:10:56 2598772Link 0
Fixtures have been announced. 80 euro for season pass but 12 euro per game is a bit crazy imo. They don't have any Connacht pundits which is odd given that 3 of the games on it this weekend are Connacht games Kew (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 31/03/2025 21:45:06 2599831Link 0
It's hands down the best coverage on national tv, absolutely unrivalled. A great GAA station. Bon (Kildare) - Posts: 2557 - 02/04/2025 15:15:50 2600136Link 1
Does anyone know if this new GAA TV streaming platform will keep access to the classics games 60s/70s/80s/90s etc., LeitrimBatman (Leitrim) - Posts: 10 - 03/04/2025 09:03:40 2600269Link 0
