I really think the running game is when we're at our best. If you look back at our best performances last year and in Egan's time it's all off the shoulder stuff and working the ball. Good opportunity for Tucker kinsella to make his mark at this level. Been in and around the panel for a while now. Conal Flood named to start, to be honest I thought his ship had sailed at this level. Lots of ability anyway. Cahill tends to take the league very seriously as seen in Galway. Team named Fanning E Ryan Donohue Murphy Mcguckian C Foley R Lawlor Hearne David Codd Darren Codd Jack Redmond Tucker Byrne Casey Flood Dwyer and Jacko on the bench. Missing Rory and Shane Reck as well as the rest. I like the look of the forwards a little better than the last day and good to see the other Codd getting a run. I think that is one if the poorest wexford teams, I seen in years. Especially at full back and number 4 and that set of forward is joe mcdonadh standard unfortunately. I would be worried we are going to take another big beating. Positives is apart from 2 or 3, the bench looks strong enough. Hopefully the lads first touch will be way better, and they play harder, like they actually want to win the game. Looking forward to our first spin away of the year! Daragh Kehoe and Michael Dundon would be 2 others I'd like to see also, see can they make the step up. As Hunting said in his post we are selecting several lads who have consistently shown they aren't good enough. They aren't even young fellas any more. I get that you need some experience in the team, but if the experienced lads picked weren't good enough last year, or the year before, or the year before that, and they have just built up a bank of experiencing poor performances, then are they really the players you'd want our younger lads looking up to and emulating on the pitch? Tough times ahead i'm afraid. Rory was'nt great last Saturday but he is always capable of doing something special. Dalton got a two match suspension. Didn't hear what Rory got. Looks like we are in for another hammering tomorrow. No easy games in the weeks ahead, so all we can hope for is that our injured players make a speedy recovery. If not we are odds on to make the dreaded drop. Too many players for the trip to Tipp Who are simply not up to intercounty standard.
