So, if hurling, you propose to put those finals back by a week, to the weekend of April 5 & 6, such that the finalists would be playing their League Final just one week before their first Ring/Rackard/Meagher Cup game after all?
Remember that if you want them in Croke Park, they couldn't stay on their current dates of March 29 & 30, since Croke Park will be in use for the Football Finals that weekend.
Also, you're forgetting that there'll be <u>five</u> Hurling League Finals to be played, not four."</div>Yes I am talking about hurling. I think the Div 2, 3 & 4 lads deserve their final in Croke Park like their counterparts. Would be great to see this in 2026."
All the hurling tiered championships have their day in Croke Park. The Tailteann is offering that now in football but the league is giving more an opportunity in football."]I don't know why the Kerry hurling winners are not taking part in Munster senior. As we see in football with Rathgormack the gap is a lot closer. At least give them a choice. Or plain the first round of senior and if they don't advance play in the intermediate. The draw could be worked out if serious about promoting hurling."]Very good points. I have always maintained that if the All-Ireland intermediate championship had been run properly it would be on a par with the Joe McDonagh Cup now. You could easily have a 16 team competition with the existing McDonagh teams, the top Christy Ring teams and the intermediate teams from the strong counties all competing.
