Is there still Interprovincial hurling I did search but found nothing Goodstrike (Dublin) - Posts: 8 - 19/10/2024 19:11:45 2575858 Link 0 |
Nah the railway cup was discontinued a few years back over player welfare. Although football is happening this year to test rules. The hurling is kind of a mismatch anyway. Unfortunately the levels in the north and the west are nowhere near Leinster or Munster which is a shame. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3079 - 20/10/2024 06:48:52 2575903 Link 0 |
Used to be a great chance for the odd hurler from a weaker county to get some recognition liam500 (Wicklow) - Posts: 185 - 20/10/2024 12:36:36 2575948 Link 0 |
Absolutely, Derry, down, Carlow, laois etc. Would always produce a few hurlers and that was a big stage for them. I said it before it was important for Wexford lads when things weren't going well that they'd get in the starting 15 full of hotys from Kilkenny.
