Huge crowd too. Must have been 6/7,000. Both well supported and proof that you can be a "super club" - as both Naas and Cuala are relative to others - and have big community support outside of the playing numbers. Crokes footballers have very small numbers. Hurlers a bit better attended.

Great first half between Corofin v Padraig Pearces, really good counter attacking football. One thing I've noticed is how has the ref not pulled PP's no 15 for steps? He took over 10 steps for the goal and the point before half time. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago in another championship match it seems players are getting away with it. Maybe instead of new rule changes they need to look at the basics a bit more. crnm (Donegal) - Posts: 101 - 10/11/2024 14:11:14 2579096 Link 2 |
For the goal would have been a peno if not allowed extra steps for the goal. Always happens refs allow extra steps when fouled. Point before half time should been pulled. And I am no Pearses fan. Corofin we're very poor. No forwards any good. Pearses will take beaten now sourmilk93 (Roscommon) - Posts: 1186 - 10/11/2024 15:55:32 2579106 Link 0 |

Where is the GPA player welfare brigade in all of this congestion or are they blind to all outside of the elite county setup??

Limerick are one of the few counties not giving their champions more than a week to prepare. 8 rounds of hurling and 8 rounds of football to get through. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8283 - 11/11/2024 17:41:25 2579261 Link 0 |
Watching Cuala twice this year,.I'd fancy St Mary's of Louth to beat them They are a serious team, 6 or 7 Louth players on their team aswell DundalkGael (Louth) - Posts: 916 - 13/11/2024 01:04:40 2579447 Link 0 |
Interesting. St. Mary's are going strong. Their semi-final opponents are yet to be confirmed. Should be an interesting final if it pans out as you're predicting.

Pádraig Pearse are most impressive team ive seen so far. Wet my beak at 10/1. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3118 - 13/11/2024 20:56:11 2579569 Link 0 |
Scotstown, Ballina, Padraig Pearses and St Lomans are the favourites this weekend. Seems to be all hurling on TV. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8283 - 14/11/2024 21:05:47 2579648 Link 0 |
Coolera-Standhill upset the odds to knock Ballina out on penalties. Padraig Pearses blew Mohill away in the second half. Padraig Pearses will be raging hot favourites in the final. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8283 - 17/11/2024 18:52:40 2580024 Link 0 |
Ballina as getting beaten may be a shock to those outside the county but not for most within. It will be 10 years next year since a Mayo senior club won Connacht. The standard of the Mayo senior championship is very worrying. As for our county team I fear 2025 will be worse than 2024.

I saw some of the Mayo final on ****. I have to say I thought it was a poor standard. Seanfanbocht (Roscommon) - Posts: 1950 - 17/11/2024 23:27:48 2580069 Link 0 |
