He won more than once. A gentleman and a great football Manager. I was shocked by the news but I had thought that he didn't sound well on Morning Ireland a couple of weeks ago paying tribute to Tommie Gorman. May he rest in peace.

Maybe a reference to not winning it with his native Mayo. Ray Silke suggested on radio that his one regret (not that he ever mentioned it) was winning (or even seeing) Mayo win a senior All Ireland. Rest easy Johno. RIP.

Would be a reference. Pre-planned flight back into Knock Airport in 1989 to make sure Mayo was the first county they stepped back into had they won the All-Ireland.
