I agree. While the League still isn't particularly meaningful noone likes to get relegated. If you took promotion and relegation out of it there'd be no point having the Leagues at all.

As mentioned before I see clubber will broadcast Wexford matches for three years. Disappointing as I thought Wexford GAA had a good system going

Rapps, at a canter, won by 11 points.

Many might wonder how that match was particularly useful for either side.

The Alley beat Oylegate by 14 points, we beat Geraldine O'Hanrahans by 13 points, Monageer beat Duffry by 23 points, St Pats beat Marshalstown by 29 points, Gorey beat Crossabeg by 30 points. All those games between clubs playing at the same grade in Championship AFAIK. And all games which you could also say did noone any good. None of those results had anything to do with promotion and relegation being in.

Sorry the Alley are a grade below Oylegate.

I actually think it's potentially a very good move. Particularly as Clubber have a season pass that Wexford GAA TV never offered. If you took one out now and used it to watch some of our Minor & U20 Leinster Championship matches in the next couple of months, it'd be well on its way to paying for itself before the club championships even start at all.

My only concern would be whether Clubber will be as committed to club football matches here as they're likely to be to hurling. But Clubber actually make most of their money by selling video analysis packages to clubs after the game, so would be in their own best interests to have as many matches available as possible.

Its useful for Kilmore, they get to play a team at a higher grade and know what it now takes to get there. Rapps got relegated from Division 1 so its up to them to get promoted.

Think you and I are perfect examples of the different opinions on the promotion/relegation system :)

Neither right and neither wrong, and both as valid as the other.

Sure there'd be no fun it if everybody agreed all the time!

I'm like you, I have a clubber subscription already, so for me it's great. In fairness they've covered the schools and club football in other counties pretty well, so I don't see why it would be any different for the Wexford club football.
