Replying To ExiledInWex:  "Is Jimmy Cooney 1998 not the reference point? Refereeing error, replay?"
He admitted his mistake from memory, Offaly very fortunate to get a replay that time really.

Martins Shels or Martins Annes? I'll go for Martins Annes myself!

Never seen a ball move like that in the wind. Shells are shocking

I wasn't a great advertisement for hurling that's for sure. Wind was brutal. Ref was brutal and in the end could have went either way.

Alot of the football finals and some of the hurling ones around the country got cancelled today. Went down to the Astro with the young lads it was hard to hit the sliotar any distance into that wind.

No choice if our winners were going to make Leinster. Wind was the same for all 4 teams.

Could have played the games yesterday?

Should scrap that competition.

Yes, referee at the time admitted his mistake, and both teams agreed to a replay.

ExiledinWex can take that as a reference point if likes, because that's exactly what would have happened with Fethard v Bunclody too, if the referee there also admitted a mistake and both sides also agreed to a replay.

It's a farce of a proposal and yesterday proved its simply not practical. Another thing - the 40m arc say on a day like yesterday - a point against the wind is a 10 times harder to score than with the wind, why are we rewarding it with 2pts then. These rules assume perfect conditions absolutely no need for those two anyway.

I don't know Viking, I thought it was a bit much. Not sure if you saw the trees down in Corish park or the movement of the posts, it was the worst I've seen anyway.

As an aside I've said it a few times but the gap between the county lads and the rest is quite worrying.

Eoin Ryan, Dee, Mogie, ROC were all the stars of the show and nobody else really put their hand up.

Interestingly 3 of the 4 teams playing that wind only managed 2 points in the half.

Martin's got it spot on tactically. You can't judge much on yesterday but they have to be favourites.

One way or the other it'll be nice to see it come back this direction.

Hard to believe it's been 20 years for the Anne's who are always there or there abouts. I certainly wouldn't begrudge Dee or Mogie if they won it.

From a Wexford hurling overall point of view I'd expect the Martin's to be closer in Leinster.

Scrap the provincial and All-Ireland club competitions? Really?

Think it's the first time I've ever heard anybody call for that.

Aidan Rash was the best man on the pitch yesterday well ahead of the county men on show. Ridiculous comment.
