Minors Go To Navan And Seniors To Longford

(Oldest Posts First)

On Saturday next June 15th our Minors play in the All Ireland Tier 2 final in Navan @ 12.30 while our seniors play Roscommon in Longford, not much joined up thinking here when there could have been a Double header in Longoford @ 3 and 5. Hope you enjoy driving and helping the government by paying extra fuel tax. This is ridiculous leave home @ 11 and back @ 8.30.

If one had to Pay into two games get two meals , pay at an evening mass in Roscommon ( and put in the envelope next week at home) fuel , two programmes and maybe some one selling a lotto at these games it will surely be an expensive Saturday .. ough

Doesn't your real home county get their fuel on the cheap anyway? Should ease the burden.

No dippers to be seen, fill her up with green!

Ah sure playing the 2 games at the one venue would mean doing the thing properly …. Don't you know the GAA have gold medals for making a complete mess of things…

Would you have been happy to travel to Tullamore on Sunday as part of double header?

It would be great to have had both games at the one venue regardless of where it was…!

Surely it would be similar timing for a day out in Croke Park?

The cousins in Cork and Clare regularly leave earlier than that for a Munster hurling final and are not back until later. As the d'unbelieveables said: 'We'd dinner at half 8 this morning to get a clear run at the day'.

Sure who cares there are more posts here giving out about the venue than were posted in the entire combined minor and u20 for the entire year. I didn't see anyone complaining the last day when the Minors were away and Seniors were at home.

I don't think it will be a issue for many people.

It's all about common sense not the amount of people it would be an issue for… As the great former Wexford hurling manager Liam Griffin once said at a seminar in Carlow IT.. " The GAA are the stupidest organisation in the world of sport "….. He was no fool.

I think the common sense here is that Kildare didn't want to travel to Longford and Cavan didn't want to travel to Tullamore to play in a stadium where they would be outnumbered greatly by the oppositions supporters.

Going by recent matches they will probably be greatly outnumbered no matter where the game is played….!!
