A photo that speaks 1000 words..

Fantastic bitter-sweet moment to capture, the scope and scale of it.

It's one that we may look back on in a couple of years as being that defined two eras; the McGeeney era and the McGuinness era.

Great photograph all right. You would have to feel extremely sorry for Kiernan McGeeney, his players and supporters to lose four huge games in just 2 years on penalties.
* 2024 Ulster Final v Donegal
* 2023 All Ireland Quarter Final v Monaghan
* 2023 Ulster Final v Derry
* 2022 All Ireland Quarter Final v Galway
They are still in the championship and might cause a surprise or two yet. Fair play to the Armagh supporters who never give up hope and support their team in great numbers.

McGeeney looks weary and crestfallen there. He has a decent team but they need to learn to put sides to the sword. They were 4 up yesterday and had Donegal on the ropes and still couldn't finish them off. It was the same with the Joe Kernan squad. They had the best set of forwards in Ireland for about a 5/6 year period and should have won more than 1 All Ireland.

It is a terrible way to decide big games but Armagh's failing has been to retreat into shell instead of pushing put for a win from dominant positions.

They went 25 minutes without scoring. Indeed, for a lot of the second half they looked like they were happy to get a draw. Donegal were well up for it and McGuinness was losing plot when they didn't go for jugular at end of normal time. That's the difference between winning and losing, as Al Pacino might say!

It could do with a lot of features but all of them would cost Hoganstand money to add more features to a free site. To add photos and/or videos will add to data storage for forums so the links connect to other servers to view photos and videos.

.... now there's a contrast of a photo

Huge Congratulations to K McGeeney

A testament to hard graft, resilience and a bever say die attitude.

Also, this is what can happen with patience, trusting a manager, and backing him.
