Replying To gunman:  "It is ironic that people on the forum are lamenting Big Jack's "hoof ball" tactics while at the same time there seems to be a yearning for the return of "hoof ball" to Gaelic Football."
You do realise you can't catch the ball in soccer but you can in Gaelic football therefore top coaches in soccer don't advocate kicking the ball up in the air… simple really…

Replying To legendzxix:  "Galway better not let Donegal dominate the game in the Donegal way.
Armagh will be a tough opponent for Kerry. Once upon a time Kerry beat Armagh in extra time of a replay. Galway then won an All-Ireland the year after and Armagh won an All-Ireland the year after that."
Possibly a typo there. It was Galway that Kerry beat in that replay, not Armagh.

Sorry lad, he is totally correct. Kerry beat Armagh in extra time in a replay of the 2000 semi then beat Gslway after a replay in the final. Galway won in 01 and Armagh in 02. For 5 years in a row Armagh or the team that knocked them out won the All Ireland . Cant see past a Donegal/Armagh final this year.

I'm assuming he's referring to 2000, when kerry beat armagh after a replay, then beat galway after a replay in the final, galway then won it in 01 and armagh in 02.
It's kind of moot anyways, was a quarter of a century ago and won't have much bearing on what happens next weekend.

I would be fairly certain that I know more about soccer than you do.

Kerry beat Armagh after extra time of the replayed All-Ireland semi-final. At the time it was the last straight knockout championship before the qualifiers. Kerry won it the hard way beating both Armagh and Galway after replays. No surprise really that both Galway and Armagh went on to win.

Well then put that supposedly good knowledge to use and don't be posting rubbish about hoofed balls as there is absolutely no comparison to Gaelic football and soccer in that regard…

Donegal - Division 2 champions, Ulster champions and group winners.
Galway - Connacht winners.
Armagh - group winners.
Kerry - Munster champions, group winners and a 100% record so far in championship.
Galway have forwards who are difficult to handle when fit and on form.
Donegal have played well. There are doubts as to whether they have the kicking game required to be a difference.
Armagh have lost penalty shootouts but the games have ended in draws. Very tough to beat. A good defence and good forwards.
Kerry will be hoping for the best. All three of their rivals will be quietly confident. 15 points might have been good enough to make the semi-final. Unlikely to be enough to make the final against an Armagh team who can get goals.
