It's a lot more difficult to pass a ball 10 yards with your feet on a soccer pitch than it is to hand pass it 3 ft on a Gaelic pitch.

Sadly the average game of soccer is now on par with the average game of Gaelic football for excitement. Something I never thought could be said.

Yep, when you can hear individuals managers shouting their instructions or individual players shouting to their teammates as you would if there was only a handful of people in attendance, it's bad well. That happened in the first half of Galway vs Dublin yesterday. But the game today scraped the bottom of the barrel. Some fans are voting with their feet and not going but think it's time for those who do attend to show their displeasure with the boring rubbish by giving teams the slow hand clap. Both Kerry and Derry today deserved to receive a LONG slow hand clap.

Replying To Jazzyjeff:  "One of the worst games of football I have ever witnessed. The ground was totally dead. It's a long journey now after that. Mickey Harte was brought in to take this team to the next level. He has been an absolute disaster in Championship. Out with a whimper. 4 losses in 6.

Congratulations to Kerry on the victory. The better team won. The All Ireland is pretty open but Kerry are rightly favourites."
I for one would have him back in Tyrone setup.

It's all a bit raw at the minute but large swathes of Derry fans have turned against him and Gavin Devlin. He won't stand down voluntarily and I can't see the Derry board having the money to let him go. A period of long introspection is badly needed now. It was a huge gamble to bring in Harte. It has backfired spectacularly.

It looked silly going all out for the beginning of the League a week after Glen won the All Ireland. Those players looked jaded in championship

All Ireland odds with Boyle Sports this evening:
Kerry 4/5
Other 3 all at 9/2

Foregone conclusion according to the bookies...

Would you take a game like the Kerry v Derry game if Galway could win the All Ireland?

And to do either of those things is ridiculously hard, eh? Jesus wept! 10 year-old children can do both to perfection. Another woke brigade comment!

Couldn't agree more. Empty the stadiums. Let them play by themselves. They do it anyway. Lads walking around croke park. Cricket would be more fu*king exciting.
I got my kids to watch the game with me today. They dont normally. They were done before half time.
Sad thing is, we have 3 games left.
People give out for weeks about the provincial muck, then you get a couple of decent finals and all is good.
It will be the same if we get a couple of decent games from here in.
I'll be watching the 9 minute highlights from here in. What a waster of time!

Glad I didnt watch either game today tbh, by the sounds of it.

We might get 1 good semi but the other could be pure dross..... and very few at it.

I'd like to see Galway win it. But won't be surprised if Donegal lift the Sam.

Galway probably have the best chance of the 3, but none with stop kerry imo.

You are more than entitled to your opinion and this weekends games were certainly no blockbusters. But gaelic games are so much more than 70minutes of football. In Armagh, we live to watch our team play, and win or lose will continue to turn up for the lads who sacrifice so much for the game.
Yes, we played a boring brand of football yesterday and were disappointed by our own performance, but we still had a great day out.
If you aren't getting enjoyment out of gaelic football, then maybe the loves gone and you need to find a new sport.

Hard to see Kerry beaten alright with the Dubs out. I thought though that Derry were very poor today.Apart from the excellent Shane McGuigan, Derry don't have good enough forwards. They never looked like winning today.

Paddypowers are the real bookies Kerry wvens Galway 3/1. Bookies odds are made up by actuarers wprked out on the amount of money put down.Dublin were favourites for Sam before yesterday.Cork hurlers were 50/1 before they beat Limerick.Bookies judge but they cant play.

Two entirely different games. First match was a high scoring shoot out between two teams going for it. Some very fine scores and Louth's 0.18 was joint 2nd highest score of the week end.
Both teams ultra cautious in the second game, retaining possession for long periods

That Derry v Kerry game was a disgrace, when is somebody going to put a stop to this "muck". By the way well done to Galway and I hope you win the All Ireland.
