Congratulations to Galway on a truly brilliant victory.Dublin went to the well once too often but went down like the true champions they are.Galway showed true grit and belief and did nt let the 7 day turnaround affect them.If Kerry or Donegal lose tomorro maybe the thinking on the prelim quarters will change.

Replying To Jazzyjeff:  "Just out of interest if Derry win tomorrow I assume its an open draw for the semi-final as Derry, Galway and Armagh were in the same group. If Kerry win the only possible draw should Donegal also win is:

Kerry vs Armagh
Galway vs Donegal"
I believe that's right.

Well done Galway. Really ground out the win. The Dubs completely misfired in the second half and Galway took their chances. I'm hoping to see Ger's Wee County get to the final but I'd have Galway as a close second on the wish list.

Armagh kerry game could be some war of attrition...

It wouldn't make sense for louth and donegal supporters and players to travel to thurles for a game.

In fairness they actually did at the S/F stage couple years ago

If Derry win and Donegal win its dl v Galway and Armagh v derry as dl/Galway haven't played each other. If Derry win and louth win, it's louth v Armagh, Derry or Galway and then whatever 2 remain after that draw, play each other.

That's assuming Kerry don't get thru, which is fairly wishful thinking.

Congrats Galway in a terrific win today. Extra game v Armagh didn't do them any harm, but they won that one with a bit in reserve.

You can keep your second wish list. How does it feel to be beaten in the All Ireland Quarter Final?

Hope I'm wrong but I think Kerry will wallop Derry by 6pts+, they'll know what to expect this time. Donegal to grind out a win over Louth.

Congrats & well done, you may have been all of the above however, - Cian O'Neill played a big part in your teams performance yesterday, he is by far the unsung hero in a lot of counties success, he is is best & most successful team coach in the country. Hope you go all the way.

If Derry win today, I think it makes the All Ireland the most open since 2010 when all four provincial champions got knocked out on quarter final weekend.

I'm just hoping the next shock doesn't happen in the game before it.

A Galway, Armagh, Derry, Donegal semi final would be anyone's All Ireland. Galway probably a smidge favourites overall.

Fair play Galway, would not have seen that second half coming after watching them in Salthill against Monaghan.
John Maher is quietly playing himself into player of the year territory- a metronomic beast

Proof also that jeopardy comes mostly from having more competitive teams, not competition structures.

Yew, there are some crazy toxic posters in both our counties and they don't understand that we need Mayo to be strong and Mayo need Galway. This is what make our annual competition in Connacht so great . Healthy rivalry. Thank you.

Thankfully common sense has finally prevailed and the semi-final draw - if one is needed - will take place on Sunday.

Does anyone know why the other draws are made on a Monday morning at 8.30 am?

If Derry win today that will be 4 different winners in the last 4 years.

That the championship accumulator sorted. Already had Galway, Donegal, Armagh and now the Kingdom men. a handy €100.
