The bench also interests me. No Morey (probably his last year before retirement) or Donnellan (he hasn't featured much in either league or championship, so probably won't be around next year). Good to see Rynne and Crotty there. Lots of strong attacking options on the bench with Galvin, Shanagher, Meehan, Crotty, and (?) Mounsey. Clare have consistently faded in the later stages of games this year. Surely some of these should have been introduced a little earlier to both shake things up and properly blood them in championship action? I expect a few notable retirements at the end of this season, with O'Donnell a distinct possibility due to other commitments Also maybe one or two out of. McInerney, Malone, Duggan, Flanagan, who have all served the cause for many years now. I also wonder how Ian Galvin and Aron Shanagher feel about getting so little game time in their prime. However, I have a feeling Conlon, despite being the oldest of them all, will stick around for another year as a squad player.

Congrats to Clare. Now is the time to show yere metal against Kilkenny. Good decisions made today when there was little pressure but not always the case. It will be won or lost on the line. That might be strange because I always feel it is decided on the field.

Fair to say I am happy with the result but again the performance leaves a lot to be desired. We really should not have left them back in it like we did before half time.

Huge win for ye today..gets ye in a good pace for semi clash..think changes made to starting team certainly worked..shanaher was a huge target man and reidy was very good, makes me wonder why he didn't start Munster final..leen has made a huge difference,he concentrates on the ball and not the man.Diarmaid Ryan was back to himself also..thought Malone got through huge work..Kelly was back to himself..don't think there is any more can be said about o Donnell,he is just a freak of a hurler..he wins ball he shouldn't,he scores when it seems impossible and has a ferocious work rate..as a limerick man it's a pleasure watching him..for me he is in hurler of the year territory..if the backs can keep Cody and Mullen some way quite ye just could be in final..

Thanks for the nice compliments yes Shane O Donnell would certainly be Clare's nominee for HOTH but you would have to win AI and on Saturdays performance hard to see that loads of crazy mistakes but still I suppose an opportunity.

Our Management were much more proactive this time made substitutes at the right time and freshened up the team certainly better with TK at midfield and Shanagher in the full forward line.

Cork on there performance on Saturday also will really be up against it Dublin wastefulness cost them a shot in semis

It was easy for Brian to rest players and introduce new ones. The proof will be in semi final if he has learned anything. Will he make changes if things are not going to plan vesus KK. I have my doubts as the Munster final proved.

I hope he has learned a few things

Firstly David Reidy has to start he links the play so well and is our best player getting on to breaking ball and TK is best left at midfield also Shanagher offers more than McCarthy in full forward line.
David Fitz for all his good points is no puckout threat it was obvious that they were looking at different option other than Duggan which was just as well as he was very poor on Saturday. Davy Mac had no need to pull back on ROC he has done this too often though Adam's ball across was shocking. Diramuid Ryan so good at times also awful distribution.

Rory Hayes a good option for halfback Cleay attacked ball more often he needs to too Leen solid enough

Please Brian leave that team alone for semi final and no sweeper is there any account of Taylor unlikely to feature much but maybe final 20 minutes

Clare Team is announced not sure if he will go with McCarthy instead Of Aron Shanagher doesn't make sense to me anyway after how Aron played last day out Taylor back on bench he will hardly feature at this stage but we have a very strong bench .

Its high time to deliver in Croak Park now so no excuses we know Kilkenny are a super team time to prove we are good enough

Dummy teams are the norm for Lohan. I think Shanagher will start

Shanagher better as an impact sub vs KK.

Absolutely delighted for ye. My heart was in my mouth for the last 5 mins as ye couldn't pull away and I thought they were going to do ye again. But fair dues. It would have been a travesty as yere by far the better team. Go the whole hog now.
