Looks like Armagh and Donegal will be promoated.
For me looking at the 3 games all teams have left I think Cork will survive, Kildare and Fermanagh will be relegated.

Thanks for that

As I said should have looked it up before. Thanks for clarifying. That means one of louth or Kildare will get through.

We have devised the knack of shooting ourselves in the foot regularly, so the game against Kildare will again test the patience of all Cork football supporters.

Didn't I say I thought ye had a great chance to stay up? Think your play last while was well worth that win last week. I can see you getting 2 wins out of the next 3 and staying up and staying in Sam.

To be fair, your pundit skills thus far have been very impressive. If you continue to be successful I reckon a slot on the Sunday Game will be coming your way.

Kildare having a bad time of it so far in league and will most likely be relegated now but tbh I'd fancy them to get it together a little bit and beat Louth to get to Leinster later on in year.

Actually so would I. The one team that may be in with a shout could be Westmeath. They seem to be flying. Albeit in div 3.

Seems I've made a rod for my own back with my preview and predictions last week, so here we go with this week where I inevitably fall flat on my face...

Cork v Kildare. Cork got back to winning ways as I expected last week. Kildare looked a bit better than i thought, but you'd expect that for a derby by Meath. Can't see them turning in round in a trip to PUC though. I always had Cork down to win this, so think they'll get their 2nd win in a row to keep things in their own hands to stay in the division.

Fermanagh v Armagh. Fermanagh always tough at Brewster. You know you're in a battle when you go there. It has its own quirks in pitch and wind that the home team know well. Fermanagh need to get back on track after 2 decent opening weeks, but can't see it here. Armagh won't have it easy, but they'll have enough by the end to get the 2 points.

Donegal v Louth. Donegal continue their tour of the county by bringing this to Ballyshannon. Ordinarily bringing a team to a club ground would hurt their chances, but Louth well used to that with their own home venue. they are very tricky to get on top of, are very physical, and have decent form enough to keep in this and ask questions. Donegal seem to be going well, but the veneer of 3 wins and a draw doesn't tell the full story and they've took a bit to get going and are still finding their groove under Jimmy. Think they'll still win here, but if Louth get physical and bring this to a dogfight, they have a chance.

Cavan v Meath. Another derby day for Meath. If it goes ahead that is. Many inches of snow here in Cavan. Either way, Meath seem to travel more in hope than expectation. The last 2 weeks have been better when initially it looked like they were struggling. They've got their Sigerson lads back, and with their points total and who they play, promotion is in their own hands, just not sure they can score enough even with their defence being mean enough. Cavan motoring nicely without drawing much attention. 3 away wins in tough locations and a narrow home loss to Donegal show they are strong and are showing some steel and grit to see out results. Seem to be again be missing some players, but are scoring, have a free taker and forward in Paddy Lynch with high totals so can't give away frees or chances inside the 45, and if defence tightens up I can see Cavan winning this by a few points after being tight initially.

I hope Cork stay up and get into the race for Sam too, Cork should be a div 1 team and be challenging Kerry for Munster, I hope they get back where they belong soon.

The football league table doesn't lie. We deserve to be in the basement of Div 2. In reality we are way off the required standards of top level football.
I don't see much light at present & heading to Div 3 is a live possibility.

Better again today. Looking up instead of down now

Feel like we left the win behind us in cavan. But on another note cavan Gaa should be applauded for the condition of the pitch.

Think we both did. Both could have won it and lost it in that injury time. Overall, with us poor and you good first half, and the reverse 2nd half, the draw was probably fair. Apart from your 2 goal chances maybe. All I talked to in the stand seemed OK with the draw, and suited both possibly to consolidate in the table. They did very well to get the pitch ready. However it did look very heavy, and dead in some places, which is not unexpected considering the surface and meltwater that morning. The pitch is normally in brilliant condition this time of year so a pity in a way

Meath definitely did leave it behind them. That first half "performance" from Cavan was woeful, our worst in years.
Either team could've won it in the end but Meath should've been out of sight.

Hopefully we can do a favor to our neighbors louth and put cork in trouble next game.

Twas a welcome 2 points, after a 1st half where Kildare really ripped us apart at times. Our goal before half time saved our bacon.

The Kildare display in the 2nd half was very tame, we improved ourselves granted enough, but the Lily White's were really off the pace after a positive 1st half.

We are away to Meath next, the Men from The Royal County last year ventured South & took full points, so we will have our hands full in this tussle in adding to our 4 points we currently hold.

Three (should it be Three and a half counting the draw?) out of four ain't bad.
