People know how great operas and plays will end. They go to see the execution of fine art by fine artists .

This is Ireland mo chara, what else do you expect? The GAA have made a dogs dinner of the All Ireland, they took what was a sacred institution and ruined it imo. Having the All Ireland dominate the Summer with the final on the third Sunday in Sept a permanent fixture on our calendars like St.Patrick's day was great. Now even people who live and breathe Gaelic football can hardly keep track of the pile up of fixtures and rule changes. Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3029 - 02/06/2024 12:10:42 2548851 Link 1 |

That's entirely different… only a fool will pay into a sporting event that everyone knows who the winner is going to be…. Football is now a non event thanks to the GAA big wigs….

Heard there was only around 75 (yes, seventy five!) spectators at the Longford Vs Waterford match yesterday. letsgosligo (Sligo) - Posts: 102 - 02/06/2024 16:10:26 2548904 Link 0 |
Sing when you're winning.

Hard to disagree with this. They will get big crowds for the semi-finals and the finals will be sell-outs no matter who is playing.

Playing Tailteann games at neutral venues is a daft thing.

What was the last Cavan game you were at ForeverBlue2?

The man is a total looper. Doubt he has ever been to a GAA game 12,000 in Clones today. Not bad on a June Holiday weekend. ORIELMAN85 (Monaghan) - Posts: 386 - 02/06/2024 21:01:07 2549025 Link 2 |
Went to 5 of the league games and our 2 Ulster games…. I have no interest in going to these meaningless group games and there seems to be an awful lot of people with the same opinion going by the paltry attendance figures

The only loopers are those fool enough to pay in to watch rubbish football … Championship will only start as always when games are of a knockout nature… Group games are glorified challenge games and anyone with an ounce of a football brain would never pay in to watch them…. The brains bit would probably rule you out….

So to summarise, criticism of attendances on one side of the mouth - then being told that anyone who attends doesn't have an "ounce of a football brain to pay in to watch them". TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4465 - 03/06/2024 11:41:33 2549136 Link 2 |

I see that there were75 people at the Waterford Longford match at the weekend. Is this the lowest official attendance at a championship match

The old qualifiers were all of a knock out nature. The majority of these games did not have great attendances.

Something you likely won't have to worry about for a while with Cavan.
