I don't know what's going on with coverage of Limerick games but it is a mystery to a lot that at this moment in time we are not promoting our players at every opportunity. There are attractive games at all levels this weekend and people all over the county and indeed the country would pay to watch these so it is strange as well as being annoying to people who just can't go.

Laziness it's called , too much like work for some people sadly , other counties have very proactive and strategic people in charge .

Couldn't attend the Doon V Patrickswell game today so assumed it would be streamed on Limerick Gaa Tv website as Clubber no longer show Limerick club games anymore..

To my surprise neither semi finals are been streamed .

Was talking to a Clare supporter and they have streaming access from senior right down to Junior A matches..

Couldn't attend Doon v Patrickswell assumed I would easily purchase a stream online to watch..
No stream anywhere, Absolutely incredible a senior county semi final would be available to stream in any other county

Can I just say a huge thanks to Johnny keogh and Tom Clancy for the updates today..I'm glad I wasn't the only one who found it strange that no coverage for any of semis.

No Limerick GAA tv , they won't work with clubber , or tg4 . Then Limerick 95 fm have little interest unlike Cork , Clare , Kerry local radio stations who do multiple live club games every year including today , one could easily follow matchs in these counties . LK County board do not care about promoting gaa sadly .
Buff Egan was the only person with regular updates online outside of Twitter .

Yes indeed. Limerick County have long history in failing to promote the game, when they have successful teams going right back to the Nineteen Forties.

Zero streams this year.
The only game shown on GAAGO was dead rubber from group
And Gaelic grounds unplayable for all the fixtures
Not a great TBH and combined with the same teams year in year out is not a good look
I am a Na Piarsaigh supporter but have to say a win for Doon in the final might be best for the competition
They also should look at the format as it's not working in terms of bringing on newer teams. The likes of Ballybrown, Moneteen and Mungret would surely benefit from more games v the top four.

The big problem in Limerick is the City clubs are dominating Underdage and the only country clubs who can compete at adult level are two traditional established clubs Doon & Kilmallock - Patrickswell are on the verge of falling out of the big 4 and will be replaced by Monaleen with Mungret coming on behind them the other city superclub , two greater Limerick city area clubs like Ahane & Ballybrown hanging in there after that.

Why is it a problem if the city clubs dominate, Ahane dominated for 20 years, us in Patrickswell had 30 years of winning and NaP have dominated the past decade. If the city clubs with their big numbers are doing their coaching properly, and they are, then they will be better than the club with smaller numbers doing their coaching properly. NCW going senior would help Limerick hurling, Bruff are good at underage as are Murroe Boher, Doon hold their own and the traditional big clubs will always produce quality players. Look at Loughmore Castlainey in Tipp, a small rural club who don't win much underage as far as I know but every few years add more youngsters to the senior group and just keep winning-a great example for all our smaller clubs and that adding to the main adult team in the club should be the real goal not winning underage.

I'm hearing rumours that the County Finals may be moved from the Gaelic Grounds. If this is true its a shocking indictment to the grounds keeping staff and the county board.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

The Pitch was completely reseeded in July 2023 and was opened for the County Final and Munster Club Championship in October last year. I know it took a beating with the rain in December and Cut up badly during a Munster club football match in December and this was given as the reason that the County teams couldn't play there in the league last year. Pitch was opened for Munster Championship but has been closed since.

Thomond Park had the same weather to contend with (and rugby is much harder on a pitch) and held concerts in August and it is pristine now.

Equally look at Thurles. It was closed in February until April last year as they had to dig up one of the squares an put in a new drain and it was fine by April and throughout the summer. Nowlan Park was destroyed by a Bruce Springsteen Concert and still managed to host All Ireland Finals at U20 within a couple of weeks.

It seems only a problem in Limerick and now they are planning a UB40 concert for next year. Does this mean no club matches in Gaelic Grounds Next year as well?

I've never known any county board to be so silent o what problem is with Gaelic grounds..have they been asked about the situation??also what has happened with coverage of Gaelic games on local radio even, they used to broadcast games like semi finals but even that is gone now..I've seen matches from every other county on clubber or a counties tv channel but of course nothing from limerick..I don't accept that the proper facilities aren't available at other grounds, they were there for last 3/4 years..

I agree totally. Our County Board seem to lack any ambition. Galway and Clare just for examples offer great coverage of their Championships. Galway Bay FM also give superb coverage to their GAA,from broadcasting Matches to previews etc. Limerick GAA and,Limericks Live 95 are only interested in the Inter County teams it seems. Streaming matches is an excellent idea. Hopefully our Secretary might read this and realise they are not promoting Limerick Hurling at a time when interest has never been as high.

Would have to agree, the county board seem to be going back to how poor they have been many times in the past.
Back to the hurling have many players put their hands up during the championship. Think Kevin Maher of Doon could be worth a look to see what he could offer

I've been impressed with Donovan and Chris Thomas from doon..henn na piarsaigh going well but wouldn't be sure of inter county chances..Casey from bruff,Hurley Newcastle and Donovan effin have been very good..I'm sure other people might have seen more players than these..

Good to see a few young lads showing promise. Darragh was sorely missed this year.
