Leitrim lads are certainly not happy with Mickey Graham. I suppose it's quite similar to Mickey Harte and Louth last year.

Personally I don't see much wrong with it. At the end of the day it's October, it's not like he left mid season. And also it's better to be honest if his hearts not in it.

Not an easy job he has picked though. Big shoes to fill in Cian O'Neill and unless Galway win the all Ireland, Mickey is going to be an easy target for why things would have regressed

In what way is it like Mickey Harte..? At least Harte managed Louth and brought them up a couple of leagues…I'd say not too many in Louth would have a bad word said about Micky Harte but I doubt the feeling would be the same for Graham in Leitrim….!

Didn't even know Micky Graham was a "coach"?

Lads it is probably better that leitrim find this out now. tis a bad look for graham and I feel bad for the good football people in leitrim I would know . if it was a head job he took itself. but leaving for a lieutenants role under a man of his own vintage and manegerial experience has marked his card. young lads taking leave for a year or two out is part of growing up in modern Ireland. and any manager worth his salt should be able to roll with that one and build a stronger wider panel. If he was a leader he would have easily mustered two or three decent under 21s who would have developed under his mentorship. instead he defected to a team in the same province and took the handier shot to glory. in the bus, as they say. not driving it.

As the Manager roller coaster is now in full swing can we post who has been appointed to what teams in both men's & ladies and see what positions still need to be filled out.

So fixtures I have heard:

Weekend 25/26 January - Home vs Monaghan
Weekend 1/2 February - Away vs Meath
Weekend 15/16 February - Home vs Louth
Weekend 23/24 February - Away vs Westmeath
Weekend 1/2 March - Home vs Down
Weekend 15/16 March - Away vs Roscommon
Weekend 22/23 March - Home vs Cork

So we start at home (which is rare), and 4 home games total which is also rare. Good to see, and an even spread home then away and so on. No very long trips either. All away games are supposedly on the Sunday afternoon due to lack of floodlights in those places. I'd imagine some games at home will be Saturday evenings and maybe a few on Sunday.

The pod had it that Damien Keaney is new Killgarry manager, meaning he had left the Cavan setup. Colm Nally from Louth is supposedly well regarded and has come into the Cavan backroom team as coach. He has written coaching manuals, and has YouTube videos up on coaching. Cavan beat a number of others teams to him

4 home games!!! Who was asleep at the wheel to allow that to happen? :)

3 short away trips too.
We can have no complaints.

Interesting set of fixtures. Four derbys to begin with (geographically) and you could argue Down is a traditional derby. And we have played Roscommon numerous times over the last 15 years. No easy games but nothing overly difficult either.

Anymore names that have been drafted in? Haven't heard anything other than those who played the new rules challenge game. Some impressive performances across the club championships I thought

Definitely no complaints this time. I enjoyed the Cork trip last year, but all short journeys for 3 games is decent to be fair this year.

Think we get the 4 home games by staying in the division. I had it explained that it's hard to work out who gets what each year with it being 7 games, so they set it that the 4 who stay in the division get home advantage (mostly), and the 2 up and 2 down get 4 away. Not sure why really

And like, i don't get that. yeah sure this is the first time in maybe 10 years we haven't moved a division? Yet even before that we got a lot of 3 home games and starting away. Surely someone could come up with a computer algorithm to ensure that over a 10 year cycle counties get 5 years of 4 home and 5 of 4 away and so on
