I heard he is minor again next year, is that true? Phenomenal player.

He is. He'll only be in 4th year in GC too.

He's best minor prospect we've had since Rory or maybe Conor Mac. Comes from good stock, his grandfather is Jimmy O'Brien from the great era of the 60s and his father won a minor all Ireland with Kilkenny too. Great attitude on the pitch, super free taker and strongly built too…a few things we lack at senior level. One to get excited about.

The u16s are playing in the Michael Foley Cup which is being hosted in Ferns. The u14s, Tony Forristal, and u15s, Arrabawn, are away in other counties.

I went up to Ferns and watched our u16As lose to Waterford in the Michael Foley Cup A final after beating Tipp in the SF. We were level when there was a melee and the ref sent off one of our lads but noone from Waterford. Waterford lost last years u15 Arrabawn A final and are a good team, although we beat them in a challenge game earlier this year. Our u15As won the U15A Arrabawn Shield, they only lost one "championship" game all year, to Cork. And our u14As reached the Tony Forristal A final for the 1st time since 2011, we were level at the end of normal time but Kilkenny scored a couple of frees in injury time to win it. All in all we had a very positive end to our intercounty underage season! Our u15s, u16s and minors should all be pretty competitive next year. Our u16s looked to be a better team than our minors this year!

I'm hoping so too. Tipp have been the best county at underage since Galway in the teens. It's all very well having underage success, but the most important thing is the pathway from that to Senior. It's all about development. Hopefully we will see something there, in the nearish future.

U16 were beaten in the Foley Cup by Waterford. U14 lost in the Tony Forrestal final to Kilkenny by 2 points. KK hammered everyone before the final and looked almost out of sight by HT. In fairness to the chaps, they pulled it back and even went ahead in the second half but KK did enough to win it at the end.

Wexford 2 won the Sonny Walsh shield, while the U15 Arrabawn A shield over Dublin.

Overall a very promising day for Wexford hurling. The teams were competitive reaching two All Ireland finals at their age group, while the second string sides brought silverware back to the county. Getting to a TF final I believe is one of the biggest indicators on how well your county will do in the future and while the boys lost, it's brilliant to see them get to the final.

I thought our minors weren't the worst bunch this year in fairness. Competitive in the majority of their games, beat KK and Cork.

Watched all their games, went to most of them, they were a good minor group. A little inconsistent, but that was probably true of all the minor teams except Tipp this year.

He was named in the panel that was put up on the Wexford GAA website last week anyway. And I'd be surprised if there were 15 others picked ahead of him!

He was and played very well, turning up to win the ball all over the pitch. He had to go off with cramp during the final. Absolutely shocking that these lads had to play 2 1 hour games plus injury time in 3 hours.
We also got a lad sent off after a melee early in the 2nd half in the final where a Waterford lad was just as culpable but received only a yellow card. It was a joke that there were no linesmen to help the referee.
At half time, before the melee, one of their mentors pushed the referee out in the middle of the pitch, and also one of our games development staff, but didn't even get a yellow.
Anyway I did tell myself that I wouldn't post anything negative about Saturday afternoon in Ferns, but I suppose it is Monday morning:-D

Same as last time. 45 is our record, hope we don't break it.

I was a small child in 96 so have no memory of it. I pray to God we see a day like that soon . Im pleased to here our underage teams performed well last weekend at the different age groups. Hopefully we are laying good foundations for the future as unfortunately its hard to see us winning an All Ireland in the next few years.

It's truly lamentable what's happened since.

I distinctly remember Griffin in his homecoming speech describing it as the beginning of the journey rather than the end. What we've witnessed since has caused a world of hurt.

97 took the eyes off the ball and well beaten by Tipp, but still Leinster champions

01 great days v Limerick and Tipp, not to mention an excellent 21 team.

02 threw away a Leinster final

03 great days Waterford and Cork

04 who could forget, another Leinster

05 the best performance of a losing Wexford team I ever saw

07 meyler seemed to be the answer, beat Tipp for the first time since 68, beat everyone except Kilkenny

08 missed a semi final by a point

Disappeared into hurling oblivion

13 Dunne brought us back, not to mention another excellent 21 team

14 great days v Clare and Waterford, we could hope again

15 beat Cork, first time since 50s

19 the one that got away, not to mention the minors, the Train that day felt like what I imagine it was like in the 50s, the start of something magical.

21 extremely unlucky

22 great day in nowlan park

23 barely survived

24 proper mixed bag.

25 who are we? A proud hurling county who can mix with the best of them, but no more than twice a year.

If somebody had told me in 96 that I might not see another one I'd have laughed them out of the county.

I'm cutting the fibre signal to Wexford to prevent the broadcast of any other sports, and throwing every ball that isn't a sliotar into the slaney tonight.

Stop all the messing and prioritize our identity before it's too late.
