Was a good entertaining game though the 1st 10 minutes was a bit scrappy. Think the long layoff probably didn't suit Slaughtneil as their running game was a little off when the game ramped up in intensity, and they hit too many wides in the 2nd half that mightve gone over had they had more games leading up to the final. No reason Cushendall shouldn't give OLG a good game alot will depend on what their ambitions are. If they go mad celebrating an Ulster title they likely won't win the SF. If they are sharp no reason they can't get to the AI final. Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 13862 - 04/12/2023 10:21:29 2515429 Link 0 |
I do think though O'Loughlin gaels are probably the only team left in the competition that could give Ballygunner a game on their day. They look unstoppable upandwin (Down) - Posts: 112 - 04/12/2023 11:43:36 2515448 Link 0 |
Portaferry missed a great opportunity to win ulster this year but they will learn and come back stronger next year we have a young team and i agree there's definitely an ulster in them

They were better than Slaughtneil this year from the games I saw. And Slaughtneil have proved they aren't far off the very top clubs.
