Waterford voted last night.
They are staying odd ages.
Think Kilkenny and Carlow will be deciding soon.
But haven't heard what the likely outcome will be??

I think our great and good voted to stay "odd". I make that a 7 to 5 split in Leinster, taking Kilkenny into account. Can anyone explain how this will work out at minor / u17 level, or indeed u19/20 when it comes to Leinster Championship time ?.

Carlow will follow kilkenny as we play kilkenny league in hurling

Inter-county competions simply remain at U17 and U20, no matter what ages counties decide to run their own internal club competitions at.

For instance, in Wexford we ran U18 and U21 club competitions this year, but our county teams still had be U17 and U20.

Yeah probably makes sense.
Aldo the football clubs will have a vote aswell, and Kilkenny league won't have any influence in which way they vote

Limerick's shifting to even ages (U8, 10, 12). Tipperary maintains odd ages (U9, 11, 13). Unsure about other counties' plans.

No but in terms of player retention bringing minor back to 18s make sense. Kilkenny voted to go evens last night

Yes heard that this morning. Minor should never have gone back to u17 in the 1st place. Hopefully intercounty will go back to u18 minor, and u21 now too. Too big of a step between u20 and Senior the way Senior intercounty is going S and C wise.

It was a crazy decision driven by some fantasy that gaa players are just gaa players, forgetting they are soccer players rugby players etc all who offered 18s grade. Imagine spending all that time trying to up participation only to hand them over at 18
