Brolly calling for hate speech laws now! I wonder what his Da - who I had the pleasure of meeting several times and was himself subject to hate speech legislation of a type back in the day - would think of that now?
Come to think of it, his Da's famous song would not only be considered by some to be inciting hatred but also be offensive

Replying To Saynothing: "That goes on in all counties where Micky has no input including your own. Mc Manus was praised for winning a free in the dying seconds against Armagh. Once again with people, it depends who's involved." I started following the GAA in '98 and while I'm sure it happened occasionally I never saw anything like the shenanigans that his tyrone team got up to. Notably Phillip Jordans dive in the final against armagh that quite possibly won you your maiden all Ireland. Honourable mention also going to the Gooch being knocked unconscious and eye gouged in the 05 final and Tiernan McCanns antics against Monaghan. A great tactical manager yes, and he presents himself very humbly and he speaks very well,, but he's certainly not a man of integrity.

Replying To Wally: "So you are going to claim you are some sort of oracle now. Just because you posted it on social media.
I have been hearing talk about this appointment for the past fortnight.
But it looks like it is your word against mine.
I will let everyone on this forum make up their own minds.
They can believe a man that lives in Clare who seems to think that external managers are not paid handsomely. And he has sources that claim Mickey Harte has decided to leave Louth and manage his local county rivals Derry out of the goodness of his heart. There is absolutely no monetary incentive.
Or they can believe a man like me, who lives locally to all parties and has sources who claim that Mickey has made this decision because he was made an offer that he simply couldn't refuse. He is going to get a huge remuneration package that will be totally tax free.
I want to make it clear, I don't blame Mickey in the slightest. He is not getting any younger and he is right to take advantages of opportunities like this. He will likely manage quite a few other counties and clubs for more cash before he is finished.
But men like you are either delusional or you are part of the 'Mickey can do no wrong parade'. I actually don't know which one is worse." do you have a single piece of evidence?

Replying To Whestofthewest: "do you have a single piece of evidence?" Let's say I did have evidence. How would you propose I would present it on this nameless, faceless forum?
Let me ask you. Do you have evidence that Mickey is not being paid? If so, can you please let me know how you will present this.
This conversation with you is starting to hurt my head. I feel like I am talking to a young child who cannot handle any negative talk about his father.
This is basic common sense that everyone involved in club and county GAA can relate to.
But I will whisper it again so that I don't hurt your little sensibilities….external managers are profiteering sharks who do what they do for large brown envelopes!!!
And just let me finish with this. If you are correct and Mickey is actually not getting paid then I would be much more disappointed in him. That means he will be patrolling the sidelines with his Derry crest on him, training his local bitter rivals to beat his native Tyrone. And he will be doing this all for nothing.
He will be forgoing his previous reputation as Mr Loyal for nothing. He will be turning his back on the county that stood by him and backed him for almost 20 years for nothing. He will be facing off in league and championship games against players who he developed for nothing.
I really hope my sources are correct and he is getting a juicy big brown envelope handed to him in south Derry once per month. That I can at least respect.

I am bored with the 'Mickey can do no wrong' gang now.
Come back to me when Derry face Tyrone in the league and we will see where your allegiance lies.
