What happened?

Why would anyone want to destroy such a cup? There should be huge repercussions for the club if that is true. Oddball (Roscommon) - Posts: 931 - 26/10/2023 09:55:42 2510366 Link 0 |
Absolutely. The people who did that need to take a long hard look at themselves. It's completely unacceptable. Hopefully Joe Ward can be fully restored.

The Joe Ward Cup has been very badly damaged during the post match celebrations in Ardee.

A lot of 'supposedly' references going on with the cup all of which are complete nonsense! Cup should not be in the state it is in but it will be fixed like all cups previously damaged in Celebrations in the past have been. As for the singing, some people should listen closely and not just go by the fake lyrics that have been posted on some whatsapp doing the rounds.

Don't dismiss what was done to the Joe Ward Cup by saying " it will be fixed like all cups previously damaged in celebrations." I've never seen a trophy as badly damaged as this. It took serious force to damage the cup to that extent. What happened was disgraceful as was the singing.

Disgraceful actions by Ardee. Disrespectful to the great players and mentors who came from that club . 19616609 (Louth) - Posts: 1637 - 27/10/2023 00:38:35 2510559 Link 0 |

Would we not be away to Cork as we were home to Cork this year? We had 4 home games and 3 away games this year. Next year it should be 3 home matches and 4 away matches. Home matches: Meath Donegal Fermanagh or Cavan Away matches: Kildare Cork Armagh Fermanagh or Cavan Ollie2 (Louth) - Posts: 912 - 08/11/2023 12:52:49 2512079 Link 0 |

Ah it usually is. Anyway Louth are playing Meath in the O Byrne cup on Sat 6th of January in Navan. Its back to the old format. No groups just knockout. The winners will play Westmeath or Longford while the losers go into the O Byrne Sheild and play the losers of Westmeath or Longford.
