Replying To LeitrimRoyal99:  "Have heard Kinsella and Finnegan are in the panel. Along with Jack Kinlough and James Conlon back on it. I'm sure Adam McDonnell would have been on it and will be on it if his knee injury isn't too serious"
Great to see banty back.

Mark Coffey, Ruairi Kinsella, Cathal Finnegan, Jack Kinlough, James Conlon all called in along with a few more

Careful now… you're talking about the chosen one of the only person who's opinion on here counts

Is Mark a brother of Sean's?

It really amuses me with some on here. They were saying Garrigan and Eivers when they were coming in, what would they know about mens football, and the cries were they weren't good enough after the league, now they were they only good thing about last years set up. Seems like they won Meath the Tailteann cup… now they're no longer around their value has sky rocketed

You just can't win with some on here at all… hunt with the foxes and run with the hares is the term that springs to mind..

I wish both men well in their next roles, I always said they were good additions and needed more than 6 months when there heads were being called for after the Offaly game.

On robbie Brennan thing, what's that about. Is he being added to the selection panel. I doubt he's coming in as a coach as he's been managing Croke's isn't it?? Manager and coach are not the same thing?

it doesn't solve the issue here of who's coaching this team next season? That's the role needs filling, I'm sure Garrigan is helping where needed until a successor is in place.

And Malachy O'Rourke calls I see… you really think he's coming down to Meath to play second fiddle to Colm…. in your dreams… kinda like that Eamonn Fitzmaurice stuff in 2023… was and still is never a runner

Replying To Tinchy1:  "Jumping the gun a little. He has a very good Summerhill team, in a championship with limited opposition. Tell me what he did on Sunday with his tactics and reading of the modern game that stood out? Summerhill simply wanted it more, Ratoath tired in extra time. I'm not sure it could be attributed to tactics or reading of the game? No doubt he's a good manager but to be next in line for a Meath job is a bit much"
And who would you have as next management? Genuine question. I think Connor has shown passion , he cut out midfield he used the players very well. Not having a go but I do think he is in with a shout still not the top choice but definitely worth looking at.

It is. But since most of the team going forward would have played under him and he is now the u20 manager he definitely is the clear leader to be the man to save Meath football. I mean we have someone who has never won a game in Leinster football as a county coach either at senior or u21.

I think 2024 could be a positive year with the likes of Eoghan Frayne and Conor Gray coming to the fore. Still think we need a new goalkeeper and perhaps a new trainer. Someone with a proven track record rather than a big name. One of our Dublin neighbours maybe

Sorry...why exactly do we need a new keeper? I thought Brennan was solid last year and a revelation.

Any word on Sean Emmanuel's injury? Hopefully he can make a full recovery.

Agreed. For his first year at senior. In fact it wasn't even a year it was a few months I thought he did very well and definitely deserves to get a full year at the higher level to see can he cut it.

Pretty sure he's fine now. He played for pats in their semi final. Was lucky it wasn't much worse

Gonna slightly disagree with you here. I'd still have hogan as no1. He didn't really do anything wrong Brennan was good no doubt but that was against div 3/4 teams. Think hogan for kick outs and indeed shot stoping gets the nod from me. Just though

Just had a quick glimpse there now on pp for all ire betting. 125/1 is Meath price which surprised me tbh. As we are the only team in theory who are actually qualified. Last year we were 80/1, previous year 66/1 . Same year before. Think the best in past number of years was 40/1. Now I'm not saying that the odds matter as we could be 20/1 we still wouldn't win it. But rather than been a little improved from been guaranteed all ire football it seems the heads in pp believe we are worse off this year. we are same price as Down who are highly unlikely to qualify for all ire, and we'll behind Kildare and cork who are no certs to be involved either. I can't understand the thinking behind it in the slightest.

No County knocked out yet so PP is quite entitled to take anybody's money at this stage. Fools and their money…….etc
