If possible a fantasy all Ireland final between the 4 in a row winning limerick team of 2023 and 4 in a row winning 2009 Kilkenny team
Nicky quaid Mike Casey marking Aidan Fogarty Dan Morrissey marking Richie Power Barry Nash marking Eddie Brennan
Diarmuid Byrnes marking Richie Hogan Declan Hannon marking Henry Shefflin Kyle Hayes marking Eoin Larkin
Will o Donohue marking Michael Rice Darragh O Donovan marking Derek Lyng
Geroid Hegarty marking John Tennyson Cian Lynch marking Brian Hogan Tom Morrissey marking Tommy Walsh
Aaron Gillane marking JJ Delaney Seamus Flanagan marking Jackie Tyrell Peter Casey Marking Michael Kavanagh PJ Ryan
Subs for Kilkenny Noel Hickey Cha Fitzpatrick Michael Fennelly Martin Comerford TJ Reid
Subs for Limerick David Reidy Graeme Mulcahy Cathal o Neil Aaron Costello Barry Murphy
Imagine the battles all over the field. It would be End to end for 70+ mins non stop And then the 5 subs to come on are just as worthy of starting places themselves
Debating can go on forever on who would win but I think it is just too hard to call. But it would be one game that would be absolute box office

Of course its a hypothetical debate. I might have some recency bias , but the Limerick starting 15 seems stronger than KK. However the KK subs list was savage and as strong as the Limerick bench is that KK bench was far stronger and if these guys were all fit and able to start then that has to indicate how good the first 15 were.

I'd love to see gillane and Delaney under a high ball at the edge of the square or Larkin and Kyle Hayes going toe to toe up and down the line or king Henry on Dec Hannon. There are such great ball winners on both team and then strong runners such as Larkin,Lyng and Hayes, hegarty. Hard to know would it be a high scoring game or low scoring cause the backs on both sides are as strong as the forwards

If it's the Limerick team from the final, then Hannon wouldn't be in it, but if it's from this year in general then it should have Seán Finn in it. He's the best corner-back in the country in my opinion. I'd live to have seen him go up against the likes of Eddie Brennan.

IF your being fair to the Limerick 4 in a row team, then Sean Finn has to be Cornerback marking Aidan Fogarty with Mike Casey dropping to the bench in place of Aaron Costello. Also Richie English added to the bench for Barry Murphy and Suddenly the Limerick bench looks much stronger then your bench.
Given that Limerick have a habit of making adjustments to their team depending on the Circumstances (for example bring in Mike Casey Full Back, Move Dan Morrisey to Wing back move Kyle Hayes to centre forward or full forward (like they did against Cork last year)) it would be very difficult to figure out how they would get on against the Great Kilkenny team but it would be some match i'd say

Oh I agree with Sean Finn. I left him out just for the fact he was out all year but yes he should be in it. Richie English more of an oversight really but agree him on the bench would make it a lot stronger. Even another part of the whole drama would be Cody and kiely on the sidelines. 2 great motivators and both who have teams who you aren't beaten until you're on the bus home

To be fair Finn was their a nice chunk of the year.
