Brains obviously in short supply. I think it's a great contest though despite the colour clash and the damned vuvazelas. is this heading for penalties?? Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3071 - 14/05/2023 18:04:44 2478412 Link 3 |
Munster final = Boring, Connacht final = boring , Leinster final = boring. Ulster final = extra time and can't pick a winner.

Glad Tyrone are not part of that final as heart couldn't stick it. Great viewing as a neutral.

The jersey clash is ridiculous. You would have to question Derrys lack of depth if they are to AI contenders. MachaireConnacht (Roscommon) - Posts: 1000 - 14/05/2023 18:27:08 2478421 Link 0 |
Great stuff, well done to Derry, despite everything!!! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8681 - 14/05/2023 18:34:11 2478422 Link 2 |
Thank God for the Ulster Final. The only competition worth watching in Gaelic Football. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9791 - 14/05/2023 18:35:28 2478423 Link 3 |
McGeeney must be the unlucliest manger I ever seen, what a contest, well done to Derry and hard luck to Armagh. Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3071 - 14/05/2023 18:37:06 2478424 Link 0 |

The only decent provincial final at the end of the only decent provincial championship. midlands (Westmeath) - Posts: 590 - 14/05/2023 18:39:39 2478426 Link 1 |
Huge character from Derry considering what happened off the field this week. Can't see Gallagher ever coming back either. Hard luck Armagh, probably wasted the time they had with an extra man. MachaireConnacht (Roscommon) - Posts: 1000 - 14/05/2023 18:39:50 2478427 Link 0 |
That goal chance they had when Jarlath Og was through, that was the winning of it, Armagh are unlucky but my God you have to hand it to Derry, some magnificent performances by Glass and Mcguigan and Rodgers to name a few.

We're talking about quality of football here. It was terrible. Drama, yes. Good football, no.

Awful football. Hand passing in your own half for 4m, venture forward at snails pace, get dragged down. Rinse, repeat. Drama yes, football no. As for the colour clash. Good God. In this day and age, unforgivable.

Yea that would have sealed it. Glass is unreal, some penalty as well.

Armagh must be hating the sight of penalties at this stage. A shootout an awful way to decide a provincial final but well done to Derry first time they retained Ulster since the mid 70s. The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 3926 - 14/05/2023 18:56:45 2478434 Link 0 |
Connacht is decent also but not helped with Sligo getting the luck of draw this year, Sligo will improve with two good U20 teams the last two years. Well done to Derry but to be honest I can't stand soccer penalties to decide a GAA match. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3520 - 14/05/2023 18:59:36 2478436 Link 0 |
