agree it will be tight and cant see derry winning by 8 as mentioned above, might come down to which keeper has the better game

Any other weekend I'd fancy Derry but with all the goings on Armagh definitely have a big chance. Armagh for me by 1or 2 Breffni1969 (Cavan) - Posts: 510 - 11/05/2023 10:05:42 2477500 Link 0 |
They were nearly 2/1 this time yesterday

I'd have no real preference but I'd like to see a good game of football that's not turned into a circus . Purely from a punting point of view I'd back Armagh. Breffni1969 (Cavan) - Posts: 510 - 11/05/2023 10:37:40 2477519 Link 1 |
The disgrace is, if your friend was not from Derry and had no interest in going to the game, why did he apply for tickets and give them away and therefore take them off a fellow club member who is from Derry and who did want to go.

i think they always had a chance, only 2 ulster teams that made the QFs last year, both D1 teams and both sneaky enough. Was never going to be easy to call

Will the rumours affect Derrys preparation? Armagh to catch them on the hop and win in a close game Meath10 (Meath) - Posts: 190 - 11/05/2023 11:19:24 2477543 Link 0 |
LOL. This is a typical online rant despite being totally unaware of all the facts. Wind your neck in.

Fancied Derry but going with Armagh now by 2/3 points due to the news off the field. Surely will have an effect on Derry's preparations. fielder (Donegal) - Posts: 137 - 11/05/2023 11:40:23 2477552 Link 0 |
Very hard to look beyond Derry, maybe all that's going on is the distraction that Armagh need, but if both teams play to the level we know, Derry by 5 hyperache (Meath) - Posts: 255 - 11/05/2023 11:46:59 2477554 Link 0 |

2 words 'friend' and 'favour' it happens the length and breath of the country. Have you been lucky enough to go to an all Ireland final? Any idea how many tickets are got as favours? I like to think helping people is one of the good virtues of our county and organization. Pity you couldn't get one, maybe not enough favours are owed to you or you have few friends....who knows. Either way I am looking forward to a cracker game! DCFCGAA (Derry) - Posts: 65 - 11/05/2023 13:51:42 2477605 Link 0 |
I shouldn't react but being flippant towards Donegal people about their crumbling homes could also be construed as an anti-Gael type attitude. But maybe I shouldn't be altogether surpised at a lack of manners/class from some Armagh supporters.

"The disgrace is, if your friend was not from Derry and had no interest in going to the game" that was the issue in your original barrage your issue was me not my friend, changed your tune there to suit your narrative DCFCGAA (Derry) - Posts: 65 - 11/05/2023 13:53:02 2477607 Link 0 |

You don't have to post everything you think. You know you haven't won anything yet, right? rcarragh (Dublin) - Posts: 305 - 11/05/2023 14:05:16 2477611 Link 2 |
It's nothing new but one of the main issues I have with social media is people immediately hopping on their high horse, pitch-fork in hand, and slabbering on like some high-and-mighty moral authority, despite not knowing all of the facts. Ask any judge - in any high profile case one of the first things he/she has to advise the jury is to avoid all social media commentary on the case, and to soley rely on what they hear given in evidence. Easier said than done I know but the point stands. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9546 - 11/05/2023 14:08:59 2477613 Link 3 |
I don't think you need be explaining yourself to anyone, it's your business how you got your ticket, GAA matches are open for all to go. Hate to see the time when we couldn't go to a Munster hurling final which everyone should do sometime.
