Ulster U20 Football Championship thread

(Oldest Posts First)

Heading in to Omagh tonight for for this Ulster u20 Championship game Vs Down. Some serious talent in this young Red Hands team, while Ruairi Canavan is the name that's flashes out, there are several others who i'd expect to be playing with the Senior team in the next few years. Not sure if its being streamed or not, but heading in with the sons & Looking forward to a good game and hopefully a Tyrone win.
Anybody else heading in, how do you see this game going?

Lot of talent in underage football in Tyrone at the minute but these early round u20 games can be very hard to call. Team's don't have much chance to build a team due to schools football etc. Tonight's game is very dangerous. Looks like quite a small Tyrone team too. Down meant to be strong.

McGleenan's hardly underage again this year is he? He was a monster playing in last year's championship. Brute force but well able to play too.

A rare win for Down against Tyrone. Off the back of the 2021 success this hopefully augurs well for the future.

I'm pretty sure he is overage this year, he came on as a sub against Armagh in the league last Sunday, some size of a man.

Well deserved too, always a bad sign when the Down management are saying complimentary stuff about us before the game : ).

I hope youse do well; we need Down back in Div 1.

Lot of talent in Meath u20s too. Let's hope should it come to pass that neither meet each other until very late in championship should we both get there

A well deserved win for Down last night , Laverty wont be letting anyone get too carried away with themselves and wont look beyond a tough Monaghan team,

Between Derry and Down you'd think to win Ulster now; 9 Burren Players named on Starting Down side surely some sort of record

A great win for our lads last night , not much between the teams for about 50 mins , until Down pushed for home in the last 10, Kildare next which will be another tough one
