Limerick Hurling 2023

Any idea what the panel is going to be, the Examiner this morning is saying a number of players have been dropped from the panel but none of those involved in final last year included. Is John Kiely trying to bring forward a number of last years U20's?

Replying To Doylerwex:  "I fancy us to win leinster to be honest.

Ye are the only team I don't think we can beat on a given day no matter what happens.

It's the time of the season for optimism so I'm hoping Galway, Waterford, Clare or kilkenny can produce a miracle performance and take ye out at some stage.

Enjoy the group ye have. It is amazing and deserved, but will at some point come to an end.

We probably have a golden generation(by our recent standards) that is not going to win the top prize."
Like the 70s again. I think we are better placed as regards underage structures and initiatives like hurling 365 than we have ever been though. I'm alot more optimistic about the future now than I was 10 or 15 years ago.
Limerick are 10 years ahead of us as regards those structures and I'm pretty sure they will have the talent to be competitive long after the current team retires. There certainly won't be another 45 year drought.

At least the 1970's had Tipp in a nice place. The Home of Hurling, eh?

I'm told that O'Connell, Duff, Hanley and Pat Ryan are gone off it. If that's true - I'm very surprised by the second two and not at all surprised by the first two. I haven't heard who are the additions but I'd love to see the panel listing

Was Pat Ryan not already dropped?

Ah right thanks. Didn't know he was called back in after that. Always thought he was a class player.

Was in one all Ireland in the 70's and one Munster. How many were the USA in?

Strong team named. Barry Murphy midfield against Cork is an interesting selection.

Strong enough Limerick team named for Cork match Saturday night, Cian Lynch on bench.

I'm delighted to see fellas who have been part of panel for 3/4 years get a chance..play them, plenty of game time and see are they up to challenging the players everyone expects to start..big night for Dave mc carthy, was very impressive on 21 team and now an oppurtunity to be very solid back up to Nicky..looking forward to seeing Murphy at midfield, good hurler and more space just might suit him..cork have named a strong starting 15 to..has making of a very good game..

Is Jason Gillane still involved as a goalkeeper with the senior panel?
