Like the 70s again. I think we are better placed as regards underage structures and initiatives like hurling 365 than we have ever been though. I'm alot more optimistic about the future now than I was 10 or 15 years ago. Limerick are 10 years ahead of us as regards those structures and I'm pretty sure they will have the talent to be competitive long after the current team retires. There certainly won't be another 45 year drought. Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 6691 - 31/01/2023 10:02:46 2455438 Link 0 |
At least the 1970's had Tipp in a nice place. The Home of Hurling, eh?

I'm told that O'Connell, Duff, Hanley and Pat Ryan are gone off it. If that's true - I'm very surprised by the second two and not at all surprised by the first two. I haven't heard who are the additions but I'd love to see the panel listing

Ah right thanks. Didn't know he was called back in after that. Always thought he was a class player.

Strong team named. Barry Murphy midfield against Cork is an interesting selection. skillet (Limerick) - Posts: 956 - 02/02/2023 21:47:13 2456097 Link 1 |

I'm delighted to see fellas who have been part of panel for 3/4 years get a chance..play them, plenty of game time and see are they up to challenging the players everyone expects to start..big night for Dave mc carthy, was very impressive on 21 team and now an oppurtunity to be very solid back up to Nicky..looking forward to seeing Murphy at midfield, good hurler and more space just might suit him..cork have named a strong starting 15 to..has making of a very good game..
