If a club committee member, Vice Chairman, so not an officer role, doesn't declare "not seeking reelection" before a club AGM and noones else has put themselves forward for the role, is that person deemed to continue as Vice Chairman?
My understanding was that only people challenging for such roles needed to be nominated leading to a vote on at the AGM but our club has deemed otherwise leaving roles unfilled as the people willing to stay on didn't realise they HAD to be renominated to stay on.
Can anyone please confirm if this is right as I've searched through GAA constitution but can't find that specific answer. Thanks

You must be nominated and seconded each year. I don't know the timing of this but it needs to be so many days before the AGM and each member gets a notification of who is nominated for the various positions in the run up to the meeting.
Some clubs still do it the old way where the meeting is called and you look around the room and you coax, cajole people to take various jobs.

The answer to your question "is that person deemed to continue?" is a very definite NO.

It's covered in the Club Constitution all right - Rule 7.7:
The Executive Committee shall hold office until the conclusion of the following Annual General Meeting.

Means that Vice Chairman (or anybody else) is nominated, seconded, and elected to Executive Committee at whatever AGM they take up office at, and then hold that office until the end of the next AGM. If they're not nominated, seconded and voted in again at the next AGM, then they no longer hold that position.

Seems that your Vice Chairman hasn't been nominated and seconded, and even if your club is one of those who still does things the old way (and "wrong" way) of taking nominations on the night, he'd refuse it.

So, as things stand, your club won't have a Vice Chairman following AGM. However, somebody can be appointed to that role (and any other role left vacant at AGM) at the first meeting of the new Executive Committee that's held following AGM.

By the way, curious how you describe Vice Chairman as "not an officer role" - but that's another story.

That's a much better explanation than mine. However there are positions that the club exec select and forward them to be ratified at the AGM. One is the Children's Officer.

That's a compulsory position"]Yes, definitely a compulsory position but is selected by the outgoing executive rather than elected at the AGM
