Replying To legendzxix:  "5 teams means that Leinster are exempt from relegation for a year. Whichever province has 6 teams would have the relegation spot for that year. The top 5 in all provinces would retain their provincial status.
There's a good chance that Antrim could close the gap on the top 4 in Leinster."
Finally legendrix, finally justice is done.

Will still have to beat Carlow !!

Thank you for acknowledging! Yes, justice has been achieved!

"Should Kerry win the 2023 Joe McDonagh Cup, then the 2024 Munster championship will have six teams.

Overall, there will be 11 teams competing across the two provincial championships, five in one, six in the other. Munster counties will compete in Munster, while the rest will enter Leinster.

The outcome does raise the possibility that one member of the existing Munster quintet could yet slip into the Joe McDonagh Cup, should they finish bottom of a six-team provincial round robin."

Commonsense has prevailed!

Absolutely! Fair play to Munster GAA for listening to the suggestion and bringing forward the motion.
If only Kerry can win the McDonagh now! Laois and Offaly are rightly favourites to make the final.

You could beat either on your day. Fitness and a couple more lads of a standard to bring on off the bench. Your lads hurled well in Tralee in the 1st half and that was only 1 week after the Joe Mac final.

Yeah, Kerry can beat both. Kerry were fortunate to make the final last year however. Carlow did us a favour by beating Offaly.
Antrim, Westmeath, the McDonagh counties and Meath are the second bracket of 9 counties. I have sympathy for Meath being down in the Ring. Offaly fell into the Ring as well. There is an argument for 8 teams at McDonagh level but that's a discussion for another day.
