It should never have been brought back to u17 in the 1st place. Same with u21.

I think it should return to 18s, finishing underage football/hurling at 17 is too young, all we are doing at present is handing over our 17s to other sports, many don't return.

Return of U18 grade is the main talk but the auld lads in Congress have vote on it and they don't like to be seen wrong on anything even though it was clear at the time that the U18 and U21 grade should not have been scrapped.

Talk is that inter county will be u19 and that if county move to U18 then no U18s will be able to play senior

Make 20s an all year round competition instead of just playing it very late in the year like many counties do at the moment if you want to have more age grade games for players.

Under 19 inter county was voted on and didn't get through.

I'm on the fence about whether minor should be U17 or U18, but whichever it ends up they have to keep minor and adult separate. Removing the overlap between underage and senior was one of the best decisions the GAA ever made.

I'd be in favor of minor going back to 18 and reintroducing the under 21 grade..we have intercounty 17/20 and in limerick at least(not sure about other counties)there are 17/19 and 21 competitions...there are still an over lap of players in some clubs who just wouldn't have numbers..I see in cork some of the well known clubs didn't take part at 19..from all ive read a lot of counties want 18/21 brought back but going by the 2023 Gaa calendar,no mention of this happening..I just wonder do county boards and higher up the chain actually listen to opinion on the ground??i have serious doubts..

At the last Congress the Presudent said clearly that counties could have minor at U18 in the morning if they agreed to continue the separation between juvenile and adult. Most of the commentary about this takes no account of the benefits to player welfare and games programmes of having this separation.
