No consolation that the top 2 in our group are now in the final . Putting positivexspin on it we should ve beaten both Antrim and tipp . Sligo naybd not in the day . But I do still think we are heading in the right direction . If above rumours is true not sure hiw much it will improve om the whole overall . But always good to freshen things up albeit he's been in before .

Another experienced voice can never be a bad thing. And yes, ours was certainly the group of death. Antrim and Sligo are in the semi finals next weekend. Good luck to them both, they deserve to be there. A bit more better decision making early in the 2nd half would have seen us beat Antrim for sure, and on balance of play we should've beaten Tipp. Hopefully the lads all commit for next year on and off the pitch, and with the 2 Brooks back we can get over the line in the League and TC .

The 2 Brooks back big help, hopefully no retirements and Martin O Connor and Ronan Devereux would be two huge additions if were willing to come back and commit,

Would be for sure. Just having a reliable long range free/45 taker would be massive in itself.

Are there any changes to the Wexford senior football panel or backroom team for 2025?

New management team for the minor football. What are people's thoughts on it?

Also I see there is new management with the u20's. I don't know who Dylan Gregan is, what club teams has he managed?

There are new lads who have been asked into the Senior panel. Not sure if they have said yes or not.
Minor management have previous underage intercounty experience. Eoin Doyle is an excellent coach. Managed Taghmons footballers and kept them in Intermediate despite 6 starters missing half or all of the season travelling, and a further 12 starters missing at least a couple of games each, or alot more in some cases, with injury.
Dylan Gregan was our county minor manager last year, and like Doyle worked with those lads for a few years coming up. The u16s and minors both went relatively well last year, despite some of the better dual footballers choosing to go with the hurlers when there were fixture clashes.
Good luck to all 3 teams and their managements for the year ahead! Hope they continue getting the improved results their time and effort deserve.

Think this week they are back. Someone told me Joe Conroy from Craanford has been called into the panel. He was good in the Inter A final.

was it not a three year term? even so, who else would want it. If the three back rule comes in, it could suit us more as the style of play is more attacking anyway - our problem has been conceding goals. Last year I would have said we needed a defense coach but if the new rules come in its anyone's guess as to what the impact will be.

Away to Limerick was always hard for us. Longford away will be tough. Tipp will be better too. Wicklow are always good, not sure how Carlow will go, London likewise. Waterford showed signs of improvement last year.

I believe being too open was one of the concerns raised by the playerskver the year but in many ways you have to admire Hegartys approach to playing decent football.

Quite possibly the new rules will suit us in that respect

Hopefully. And hopefully we can unearth some new mobile ballers with a bit of bite too. And new shooters. I think John has built a pretty good panel so far, hopefully he can improve it further. Division 4 will be the usual dogfight.
