Senior Camogie Final, Kilkenny V Cork

(Oldest Posts First)

No thread on this so want to congratulate Kilkenny on winning a thrilling game v Cork on Sunday. The All Ireland win 2 years ago was in an empty stadium so nice to have a crowd to cheer them on this time.

Can't say I was too impressed by the seating arrangements in the Cusack. We had bought tickets for a row of seats together (group of 10 including 6 kids) only to discover on arriving that they were occupied. Apparently, the seating was "unreserved" so it was a case of take any seat you can! Would have been nice to know this when buying the tickets!!

A great game and what a final 10 or so minutes, you couldn't take your eyes off it.. The women's game is not as fast as the men's, but the commitment and determination shown is all there, and the tackling...

Congratulations to Kilkenny and commiserations to Cork, there was nothing between the teams on the day, except one point on the scoreboard. But this is a reoccurring theme in recent years in games between Cork and Kilkenny, often only one point separates them at the end of a game. As someone said 'Cork and Kilkenny seem to bring out the best out in each other'. A great rivalry, long may it continue.

Why do they put a row and seat number on a ticket if the stand is unreserved? It can only cause confusion, and in some cases confrontations.
