RIP Dillon Quirke

A sad and tragic day in Tipperary. RIP Dillon.
He was one of the standout performers for Tipperary in this year's championship particularly in the defeat to Limerick where he was excellent in the first 35 mins in particular. Made his championship debut at 24, which was a delayed one due too many tough setbacks. His finest days in the senior jersey came against limerick and also at corner forward a couple of years ago against Waterford scoring 5 points. He has lined out in every line of the pitch in Tipp colours I believe. A real star of the future that has been taken from this world far far too soon.
Thinking of his family and club mates in particular who have lost a great son, brother, friend, captain and team mate.

I heard about this late last night, absolutely devastating, poor lad, who'd have thought he was going to play the sport he loved yesterday evening and wouldn't return home, sincere condolences to his family, friends and club mates.

Fully agree, Tiobraid. A tragic loss to all, but especially to his family. I'm sure he would have been one of the key players that Liam Cahill would have been building a new team around. Rest in peace, Dillon.
