You're a typical 'big county' fellow talking through your backside. You haven't a clue what you're talking about." With all respect to Leitrim hurling there are loads of hurlers in Galway not making our county squad who could go in and improve ye if given the chance.
Your best players, if good enough, deserve the opportunity to play in the biggest games and on the biggest stage. Let them decide.
By the way I don't see galway as a particularly big county tbh, we've won 2 football all Irelands since 66 ffs, and our Liam McCarthy record while marginally better is miles and miles behind the big 3.

What about aussie lads whose places our exports are taking? What about the local lad whose place Shane Walsh will be taking? The list goes on.
If you're good enough you'll make it, if not, life goes on regardless.
And to answer your other post I don't consider galway a particularly big gaa county.

If intercounty transfers come in in a big way do you think you will be a net importer or exporter of top players? And another. Which counties do you think are bigger than Galway in GAA terms i.e. playing numbers, number of clubs etc etc.? Outside of Dublin and Cork.

For 20 years since 2001 galway hadn't come within an asses roar of winning an all Ireland (we barely won a game in Croker), there were plenty of counties who could have offered our players a better shot of winning Sam (and Liam) in that time.
I don't know the stats re playing numbers but considering we're very high on the list I'd again say we'd be more likely to lose players than gain them, although the fact we're an urban county compared to most would work in our favour but that's happening anyways. People looking for work etc.

Lol, I was literally about to suggest we call this off haha, sometimes you just have to agree to differ, though for what it's worth I very much doubt we'll be seeing any sort of transfer system anytime in the near or even distant future.
