How are people finding the ticket situation thus far, some clubs in Limerick have given out their tickets leaving some disappointed initially whereas other clubs haven't given tickets out . OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 742 - 12/07/2022 16:15:15 2431721 Link 0 |
Whilst theirs huge interest in Limerick, it seems everyone who wants a ticket will get one. Quite a few people on holidays has made tickets that bit easier but another reason finals played so early in the year not a positive. OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 742 - 15/07/2022 11:34:39 2432170 Link 0 |
Tickets gone on general sale again this morning, unusual to see that for an All Ireland Final. morethanever (Galway) - Posts: 3 - 15/07/2022 11:54:52 2432175 Link 0 |
The Season Ticket will take care of all the regular support? legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8788 - 15/07/2022 11:58:40 2432177 Link 0 |
Not surprised to hear this! My view is the neutral interest for July All Ireland Finals will be signficantly down, it isn't the same as an autumn weekend/day in Dublin with so much other things going on in July. It'll likely make Croke Park better occasions with the vast majority of tickets sold to the teams own supporters. However it could leave All Ireland Finals without the sold out signs, it'll be interesting to see. sam1884 (UK) - Posts: 999 - 15/07/2022 12:01:44 2432179 Link 1 |
Covid and the overall cost of fuel as well as very little accommodation in the Dublin area will contribute to a lack of demand.

Yes, the same can be said for football final. In both cases I think that most people who really want one will get one. For certain everyone who deserve one will get one. The ticket distribution process ( whether by design or otherwise) creates an inflated demand and it always seems like that demand outweighs the supply by 4x or 5x because people put out multiple requests. But in reality if Croke Park had unlimited capacity I doubt if they would get more than 100K people in. anotheralias (Galway) - Posts: 982 - 15/07/2022 12:27:01 2432184 Link 0 |
There are only 3500 Season Tickets for any county. Limerick & Galway Hurling , Dublin, Tyrone , Mayo Football were the only counties with all sold.

I heard only Dublin and Mayo sold out. I could be wrong on that as you would know your own county's situation better than me. We have 2,200 football season tic holders and that was when we were well down the pecking order. I expect that to max out next season or go close to same. I see terrace tickets on general sale. Never thought I would see that. Of course neutral interest tends to be higher for football finals than hurling finals from my experience.

It is a positive for the club player. The bulk of the GAA players. Plenty of club matches for those returning from holidays.

Surprised to get two tickets on Ticketmaster for the Hill yesterday, just chances my arm. It showed me a handful of seated tickets dotted around the ground too but when I clicked on them I said they weren't available. Best of luck to both teams. CrokePark.ie published to its residents yesterday that they expect tomorrows All-Ireland final will be a sell out. Looks like the last remaining tickets was sold on Ticketmaster. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3610 - 16/07/2022 16:18:35 2432360 Link 0 |

Add in the time of year and the quick fire nature of this championship. Also and I'm only speaking from our own point of view but any time Mayo are in a final thousands of the diaspora especially in the UK and US fly home for the game. Not sure too many be flying back from the competing this year with not much of a build up and time to plan?
