Replying To The_analyser: "Anyone in attendance in Hyde Park last night and witnessed the big crowd and superb atmosphere will know the correct call was done on playing it there.
As for the Junior championship. It was on its last legs and HQ decide to run with a competition with just 4 teams and London, New York not allowed to play their strongest teams, a joke if ever there was."
I think New York were, as they brought them over anyway and the GAA buckled to let them play, whilst London were not allowed, which is right as it is a junior competition.
New York was limited to native born American players only, who came up through the NY Minor board. The NYGAA Senior and Minor Boards have done a great job in the last decade in not only developing these players, also in keeping them playing Gaelic sports. Also there has been great support from GAA headquarters in Dublin and it is producing results. Congratulations to Kilkenny, That game will do New York alot of good in the future.
