Maybe they represent the majority of the American populace who need a good dose of reality, to bring them down to earth. A stock market crash is certainly plausible, followed by a severe recession which would certainly send the Trump machine crashing into oblivion!

GOOD MAN TRUMP! https://www.axios.com/2025/03/28/trump-taxes-wealthy Trump might let taxes rise for the rich to cover breaks on tips The Trump administration is discussing a surprising option to help fulfill his campaign-trail promises: Allowing the richest Americans' tax rates to rise in return for cutting taxes on tips, a senior White House official tells Axios. The big picture: Some White House officials believe letting income taxes on the very highest earners rise would buy breathing room on other priorities, and help blunt Democrats' attacks as they seek to extend President Trump's 2017 tax cuts. Think about this, if Russia somehow managed to compromise or plant a US President and his administration, how could they manipulate that influence to the maximum benefit for Russia? - Halt support for Ukraine. - Offer Russia the perfect deal, where they gain everything. - Fracture the US relationship with all Western allies. - Fracture the NATO alliance. - Weaken Western Economies with trade wars/tariffs. It definitely feels like someone let a fox into the henhouse. Commodore (Donegal) - Posts: 1327 - 28/03/2025 21:21:32 2599147 Link 0 |

Deportations of students who espouse support for the Palestinians certainly doesn't support free speech. In particular the recent attempted deportation of a Tufts University PhD student because of a paper she wrote on Palestinian issue harks back to 1950's McCarthy era blackballing!

Doesn't really matter what Mr T says, his fans will believe him. That's just the way of his world. One tenet of the thinking behind Project 25 - the new Republican version of the New Testsment, was deny, deny, promise, promise. Keep saying it often enough, people will actually believe it.

Are them experienced people the same ones that failed North Carolina? There's more than one way to help another country.

For the benefit of those amongst us who are less enlightened than your good self, can you explain, in simple English, how, an earthquake on the far side of the world, aid to which previously would have fallen under the remit of the now defunct USAID, would have anything to do with North Carolina. Just humour us, as some of us are slow learners and haven't fully gotten round to understanding Mr T and his pet Project 25 - which he said he hadn't even read, prior to his win. Please don't supply those links which you are so fond of. We just want to hear it from you, in English or American- as your idol will probably want it renamed to when he runs out of his current set of promises to his supporters.

FEMA, USAID, etc are great in theory until they get corrupted. They were stealing/wasting money. They got caught. Thank you DOGE. Thank you Mr Elon Musk.

USAID HAS ABUSED THE US TAXPAYERS FOR TOO LONG! For decades, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been unaccountable to taxpayers as it funnels massive sums of money to the ridiculous - and, in many cases, malicious - pet projects of entrenched bureaucrats, with next-to-no oversight. Here are only a few examples of the WASTE and ABUSE: $1.5 million to "advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia's workplaces and business communities" $70,000 for production of a "DEI musical" in Ireland $2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam $47,000 for a "transgender opera" in Colombia $32,000 for a "transgender comic book" in Peru $2 million for sex changes and "LGBT activism" in Guatemala $6 million to fund tourism in Egypt Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations - even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation Millions to EcoHealth Alliance - which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab "Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria" Funding to print "personalized" contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund "irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan," benefiting the Taliban Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2443 - 29/03/2025 21:30:18 2599342 Link 1 |
Thank you for your usual articulate, well thought out and reasoned response. It makes perfect sense. You should know that it's more a case of "become corrupt" not " get corrupted". There is a world of difference, but I wouldn't expect you to know the that. I have a feeling that before you are much older, you will have a whole different understanding of the word "corrupt" Or maybe not. The new world order is taking shape. Russia and China are leading and showing the way in Myanmar. Which is what world leaders do. I wonder if they will present a bill to the ruling Junta out there when the dust settles.

I saw that list also from The White House. You forgot to say that many, if not all the "facts" listed have never been fact checked independently and many that did were proved groundless. Just more of this Project 25 propaganda. You still haven't ecplained the connection with North Carolina and Myanmar, by the way. As I said, some of us are slow learners so we need logical explanations.

North Carolina had a terrible hurricane and FEMA were useless. Elon Musk stepped in and got them communications via Starlink at Trumps request. Myanmar just had a tragic Earthquake and they deemed USAID too corrupted. Who did all the "fact checking"?

If Connacht rugby can fit 27,000 into a GAA stadium then why aren't they building their own fit for purpose stadium. Time the GAA stopped this trojan horse once and for all boxtyburgerbuns (Leitrim) - Posts: 193 - 30/03/2025 11:20:46 2599420 Link 0 |

They are building their own fit for purpose stadium thats why they played in castlebar yesterday. Quit trolling. KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 3744 - 30/03/2025 13:09:55 2599441 Link 0 |
They are building their own stadium. The sportsground is under development. McHale Park was a novelty event. They certainly won't be getting anywhere near that crowd for most games.
