Replying To Freethinker:  "Doesn't matter Viking. There isn't really any point in trying to point out anything to our American friend. He is on that high octane fuel called Trump mania. I'm just hoping he will calm down and get back to our level in a few months. As long as Truth Social and X - along with other Trump approved outlets keep spewing out untruths and downright lies masquerading as facts, our friend will keep reposting them."
Sadly social media is miseducating some people way beyond their intelligence Freethinker.

It might be time to get a grip here. I don't think it is realistic to compare our sometimes misguided politicians to what has surfaced in the States ( and some European countries) in recent times. Very little we do would cause ever a glimmer of change on world markets, although we can suffer from what bigger powers get up to.

He's doing it to get a rise out of people. Whether he actually believes a lot of that he's saying is doubtful. No point taking it seriously.

Real President of America Musk should maybe have a gander at whoever is looking after his space flight programme if he can spare the time from his DOGE adventures. I'd say it will be a while before anyone is brave enough to travel in one of those rockets which do seem rather prone to self destruction.

I've just been trying to get a rise out of him for a while now. The only time to take Mr T seriously is when it impinges on our lives here, although I'd imagine Ukrainians and Palestinians would hold a different view. Other than that, it's just a case of buckle in and enjoy the ride. There is no end of entertainment emerging daily.

Maybe Hollywood or Soros will bail them out. lol.

One of the Democrat Party's biggest fundraising platforms, ActBlue, seems to be facing some serious trouble.

According to The New York Times, the organization has "plunged into turmoil" with seven senior officials abruptly leaving the group without any explanation.

One lawyer who is still with ActBlue says that he faced "internal retaliation" from the group.

FAIR PLAY TO CNN FOR NOT HIDING THIS POLL.

CNN Poll: 80% of Viewers Disapprove of Rep. Al Green's Stunt During Trump Address

A CNN poll found an overwhelming majority of viewers of President Donald Trump's joint address before Congress on Tuesday thought Rep. Al Green's (D-TX) outburst, which led to his removal from the House chamber, was "inappropriate."

Green was escorted out by the House Sergeant at Arms on orders from Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) after Green repeatedly disrupted the beginning of Trump's remarks by yelling and waving his cane in the air

Why would CNN hide that? They are a national news company? And the incident was all over the news.
As regards the "overwhelming majority of viewers", the overwhelming majority of viewers of Trumps address were Trump supporters.
At least he's starting to row back on all his ridiculous election promises. Think at this stage he hasn't brought in any of them to the extent he promised. Same as last time he was president.

In a nod to next week's visit by Taoiseach Micheál Martin to the White House, the proclamation says: "As my Administration works to correct trade imbalances with the European Union, our historic relationship with Ireland presents an opportunity to advance fairer trade policies and stronger investment opportunities that benefit both nations.

"Irish-Americans have played a crucial role in our great American story - courageously overcoming adversity and hardship to embolden our culture, enliven our spirit, and fortify our way of life.

"This Irish-American Heritage Month, we commemorate the special bond of friendship between the United States and Ireland - and we honour the extraordinary contributions of Irish-American citizens past and present," it added.

Just watching his "press conference" where he threw Ukraine even further under the bus. But- he admitted to trusting and believing Putin. You couldn't make it up. An autocrat sends his army into another sovereign state. The natives respond. Mr T sides with the aggressor, sends the leader of the invaded to the "bold corner" while he "deals" with the aggressor for a ceasefire ?? The aggressor says he will only accept peace on his own terms. Am I missing something here ?

What? The no taxes promised on overtime and Social security was a scam? How is he going to MAGA? Surely he'll get the lower corporate taxes and 15% capital gains taxes through, he'll need Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos on board!

Friendly reminder to all the Never Trumpers here: most Presidents get a 100 day "honeymoon" wherein they set their cabinet and diplomatic posts, etc and though Trump hasn't even been in near 100 days some of you are acting like he has failed to get any of his promises enacted. If you used that same lack of patience with ALL Presidents then it would be understandable but we all know you didn't/dont. Trump is doing exactly what he was elected to do SO FAR and since most of you don't approve well then he must be on the right track. Hon Trump!

I think you are a bit naive on this . Broken promises happen in every democracy in the world after every election and let's face it, your preferred party would have had to do the same thing, had they obtained a majority But the electorate spoke, for better or worse, and we are where we are for the next 4/5 yrs. I think it is petty to try to draw comparisons between what is happening across the Atlantic to what is happening - or not happening - back here.

Russians bombing Kiev like no tomorrow, as USA stopped sharing intelligence with them. Trump threatens economic sanctions on Putin, the day after he said the Ukrainians were a deterrent to peace. Putin must be laughing so much!! All this from a guy who said he'd stop Ukraine war in a day!

Like someone said. Mr Ts approach is carrot and stick. Carrot for Putin and Stick for Zelensky. That ould "golden shower" tape that Putin has is worth its weight in gold.

Stop killing Americans with fentanyl!

That's the clear message behind the Trump fentanyl tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico.

Today, China continues to provide the flood of precursor chemicals that the Mexican drug cartels use to manufacture fentanyl in both Mexico and Canada.
