Derry, Mayo, Galway & Kerry County Boards need to stand up to the GAA Hierarchy and show some consideration for their supporters.
Derry seniors play in Croke Park Saturday 25th the same day as their Minors play Galway in ?????????, Derry supporters/parents of minors now cannot go to see seniors play !!!!!!!!!! why not play a treble header in Croke Park, minor Derry v Gal at 12.30, followed by Derry v Clare in senior followed by Galway v Armagh. This logic would allow Derry & Galway fans to support BOTH their teams
Following day Sunday 26th another treble header, Minor Mayo v Kerry at 12.30, followed by Mayo v Kerry in senior followed by Dublin v Cork This logic would allow Mayo & Kerry supporters to support both their Minor and Senior teams on the one day in the one venue, instead of traveling to see their minors on Saturday and then off again to Croke Park to support their seniors on Sunday
Minors deserve to play semi-finals in Croke Park, great preparation for the 2 finalists and a great experience for the beaten semi-finalists

While I 100% agree with you , its too late for now to be closing the door after the horse has bolted. On Monday morning someone suggested to me different permutations to me of which days the games would be played. I said what do you mean what permutations, There is only one permutation. Firstly the minor games will only considered as an afterthought when the senior games are fixed, Secondly Dublin will be playing on Saturday , the second game of course. Thirdly Galway and Mayo will be playing the same day to maximise the western attendance, with Mayo v Kerry being the second game . The only variable that couldnt be fully predicted is whether the second game on Sunday would start at 3.30 or 4pm ( with similar time tolerance on the other 3 games). A motion needs to be put forward to put the same amount of fairness ( or some set of fair rules or criteria) around the scheduling of games. Wouldn't we all like to be in Dublin Saturday evening for our game and either be home Saturday night or stay up and get home at our leisure on Sunday in order to be fresh for work on Monday morning. Yes for sure only 4 of 8 counties can be accommodated that way, but why does 1 county always get the privilege. Its absolute racism and wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else or in any other sport.

I'd agree with the logic. Given the overlap in teams involved in the minor semis with the senior quarters, it seems obvious. Particularly in the case of the Mayo-Kerry ties. I'm wondering if they think a triple header is too long of a day, but that doesn't really wash. The LGFA All-Ireland finals are a triple header for example. With the Galway and Derry seniors currently scheduled for different days, one of them will clash with their minor game whichever day that's played on.
