You can't blame RTE for saying it how it is. Spillane and Whelan are just cheerleaders but the rest are fine. The fact that the Ulster final was (to paraphrase Jorge Valdana) " shit on a stick", has nothing to do with RTE. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1383 - 04/06/2022 21:03:42 2422240 Link 0 |
With respect it was at least as good as the Munster or Leinster one.

If RTE got one thing right it was getting rid of Brolly who continually talks up Dublin.

He hardly needed to "talk up" Dublin for ten years in fairness! He has had plenty bad to say about them on other days. I like him because he says what he thinks and holds his hand up if he gets it wrong. Better than listening to the clichés trotted out by others. None of them are good at predicting outcomes other than the most obvious ones, it has to be said too. Hardly surprising some of them are doing nixers for the turf accountants! You'd be in debtors' prison if you were following some of the tips. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3524 - 05/06/2022 13:13:11 2422394 Link 0 |
True, do you ever note the pundits half time comments and compare with their pre/post match comments? Totally about face. As a watch RTE is a drag.
